In case some people still didn't know, pro wrestling has been known to be fake since 1989. The WWE admitted that to the New Jersey Senate to avoid state regulations on athletic contests claiming it was just entertainment not a bona fide athletic contest. But enjoy the fantasy that it's real if you want, they said. Kind of like how people think the actors in porn are having sex for real (it's spliced together from several camera angles with several takes in one scene, since I brought that up). Maybe some people still didn't get the memo.
No. Wrestling is 15,000 to 20,000 years old. Milo of Croton won 6 Olympics circa 540 BC. I'll be glad to demonstrate.
Pro Wrestling is fake man...so is all sports like NBA, NFL, UFC, etc....it's scripted entertainment because of the Las Vegas Betting odds they've got to follow to make more money. Too much money is on the line for it to be real 100%
Pro wrestling (or rasslin') isn't fake. It's staged yes. Fake no. These men and women spend hours and hours practicing the moves, jumps, slams, and trash talking you see happening at an event. It is all real and takes a lot of choreography and athleticism in order to not injure themselves or the opponent when performing these stunts. Hours are spent, drugs are used, body enhancements made, in order to build the muscular body these people have so they can sell the entertainment. No, there's nothing fake about a 270 pound man lifting another 270 pound body over his head and slamming it correctly on the specially built floor of the venue in which the act is staged in. Nothing fake about it at all.
What's fake is the outcome of the bout. Plus it was well known that Hulk Hogan couldn't wrestle his way out of a paper bag.
All should know the outcome is staged. That's a given. Doesn't mean it's fake. It's really staged. Also, at least Hogan got you to pay attention to it. Another thing, since you mentioned Hogan, that fucker was big. I mean real big as in a huge human. He dwarfed all those around him.
Terry Bollea was 6 ft. 7 in. and weighed 302 lbs. André Roussimoff was 7 ft. 4 ins. and weighed 520 pounds. Giant Baba was 6 ft. 10 in. and weighed 310 lbs. The Undertaker was 6 ft. 10 in. and Weighted 309 lbs. Kevin Nash was 6 ft. 10 in. and Weighted 328 lbs. Kamala was 6 ft. 7 in. and Weighted 380 lbs. Viscera was 6 ft. 9 in. and Weighted 487 lbs. Etc..... Size is important in wrestling as mass has its advantages, but size isn't everything. If you want to recognize great wrestlers start with Aleksandr Karelin who stood only 6 ft. 3 ins. tall and weighed a mere 290 lbs., yet amassed 887 wins to 2 losses in unstaged matches, was undefeated for 13 years, never lost a point in 6 years, and won 12 gold medals.
