Trump's rioters tore down part of the Capitol. Trump left it to others to repair.

FBI search warrant at Georgia warehouse cites law prohibiting fraud by election workers

    excerpt:

"Specifically, the law bans someone who "knowingly and willfully deprives, defrauds, or attempts to deprive or defraud the residents of a State of a fair and impartially conducted election process, by: (A) the procurement or submission of voter registration applications that are known by the person to be materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent under the laws of the State in which the election is held; or (B) the procurement, casting, or tabulation of ballots that are known by the person to be materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent under the laws of the State in which the election is held."

Fulton County elections official Sherri Allen told local media that FBI agents seized approximately 700 boxes of election-related records from the 2020 presidential election."

Trump, 79, Roasted for ‘Sundowning’ After Manic Posting Spree

    excerpt:

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller previously denied that the administration is hiding any health issues, offering instead a glowing assessment: “He can work harder, has a better memory, more stamina and energy than a normal mortal. The headline should be ‘The Superhuman President.’”

Superhuman at falling asleep repeatedly during public televised gatherings and mistakenly calling Greenland 'Iceland' repeatedly on the world stage at Davos.

The 'S' on Trump's 'superman' outfit stands for 'sleep'.

Trump talks like he's being administered cognitive tests on a regular basis.

Why is he being given so many. Even one raises public suspicion.

Trump, 79, Roasted for ‘Sundowning’ After Manic Posting Spree

    excerpt:

"Trump has consistently brushed off questions about his mental sharpness, claiming he has “aced” multiple cognitive tests.

Yet, as New York Magazine pointed out, the president has never clarified why he repeatedly takes such exams, which often involve simple tasks like drawing a clock or naming animals. His niece Mary Trump, a vocal critic, suggested he may be showing early signs of Alzheimer’s similar to those her grandfather experienced."

Trump had difficulty remembering the word 'Alzheimers' and needed help from Leavitt.

Trump, who said in the past that he has one of the world's best memories.

Trump, 79, Roasted for ‘Sundowning’ After Manic Posting Spree

    excerpt:

Trump’s health and mental sharpness have often been under scrutiny, fueled by gaffes such as mistakenly calling Greenland “Iceland” in Davos last week and needing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt this week to prompt him on the name of his father’s medical condition.

“He had one problem. At a certain age, about 86, 87, he started getting—what do they call it?” Trump said, with Leavitt interjecting, “Alzheimer’s.”

Trump is the same as Kevin Trudeau who went to jail for defying courts and not paying millions of dollars of fines for his truther health claims about products he sold.

Trudeau also touted himself as the memory expert and sold memory aids on late night TV. Yet when ordered by judges to reveal his financial accounts to pay his fines, he said he couldn't remember where he put his money.

Trump goes on manac overnight posting rage which shows his continuing deteriorating mental state.

Trump, 79, Roasted for ‘Sundowning’ After Manic Posting Spree

    excerpt:

In one post, Trump claimed that Walmart was closing 250 of its California locations—a statement Newsom’s office immediately flagged as a total fabrication. Another post included a video accusing Newsom of working with a Mexican cartel to launder drug money.

“Walmart’s 303 stores in California are open,” the rebuttal Newsom post says in part. “The AI robot is lying. Governor Newsom is not Pablo Escobar. We cannot believe we have to say any of this out loud. We cannot believe this is real life. And we truly cannot believe this man has the nuclear codes,“ his press office said.

    excerpt:

"The hits keep coming for Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterm election. But even amid a series of panic-inspiring results for the GOP, a new outcome in Texas stands out.

Democrat Taylor Rehmet pulled an upset in a Fort Worth-area district, beating Republican Leigh Wambsganss 57%-43% in a runoff election in a solidly Republican district."

    excerpt:

"Trump posted three times about the race in recent days, in clear hopes of juicing Election-Day turnout for Republicans.

But it didn’t work. In fact, in a pretty rare occurrence these days, Democrats actually did better on special Election Day than in early voting. While Rehmet won early voting 56-44, he won day-of voting 58-42, according to results from Tarrant County."

The GOP is frustrated about losing a special election to a Democrat in what has been a heavily GOP district. Trump won it by about 17% in 2024.

A more pressing problem for Republicans is that Texas is gradually drifting back to being a swing state, which hasn't happened since the 1970's. The GOP is expected to become increasingly frantic with attempts to disenfranchise Democrat voting in the state. It has already singled out the county that contains Houston to try to take some control of how elections are conducted.

It’s time to defund the oligarchy and invest in the American people | Joseph Geevarghese and Rashida Tlaib

    excerpt:

"Fossil fuel billionaires such as Harold Hamm and Kelcy Warren poured a collective $443m into electing Trump and Maga Republicans. They are now collecting $153bn in new subsidies, tax breaks and royalty giveaways – a 34,437% return on investment.

Tech titans are doing even better. Big tech companies spent at least $72m to curry favor with Trump, including $7m in donations to his inauguration. Over the last year their CEOs, including Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Jensen Huang, Sergei Brin, Larry Page and Sam Altman have seen their combined net worth soar by $494bn as Trump deregulated their industries and fueled an artificial intelligence boom that is poisoning our communities and killing jobs. That is a 686,000% return — a return on interest no hedge fund could imagine."

It’s time to defund the oligarchy and invest in the American people | Joseph Geevarghese and Rashida Tlaib

    excerpt:

"Trump ran on a promise to lower costs on day one, but a year into his presidency, the real beneficiaries are his billionaire donors. Instead of making life more affordable for everyday Americans, Trump has used the presidency to enrich himself and his billionaire allies, while making the largest cuts to Medicaid and food assistance in history and leaving working families behind.

As families struggle with rising costs, Trump has effectively turned the White House into a slush fund, running the federal government like a personal ATM. Public money, political favors and government power are funneled to his friends and family businesses, while regulatory agencies and enforcement mechanisms are hollowed out or weaponized for profit. His oligarch allies, from big tech executives to big oil barons, are already seeing massive returns on their political investments. This is not democracy. It is a hostile corporate takeover and working people are being exploited."
