Trump orders Pentagon to buy electricity generated by coal

    excerpt:

United States President Donald Trump has ordered the Pentagon to buy electricity generated by coal, his latest effort to boost demand for the fossil fuel amid its declining cost competitiveness and climate change concerns.

In an executive order signed on Wednesday, Trump directed the US Department of Defence to enter into long-term purchase agreements with coal-fired plants and prioritise the “preservation and strategic utilisation” of “coal-based energy assets”.

Lindsey Graham Shares Blunt Message to Those 'Nervous' About Trump’s Takeover Plans: 'Who Gives a S--- Who Owns Greenland?'

    excerpt:

“Who gives a s--- who owns Greenland? I don’t,” the senator continued. “So the point is Greenland is going to be more fortified because Donald Trump, once he feels like it’s his brand or his buy-in, is going to go big.”

    Spoken as a dictator.

According to Graham, what's important is that Trump makes a country his brand. Then it will be safe because it will be more fortified after he commandeers it.

Trump's order to the Pentagon to use coal power is actually a mandate.

Trump has been upset that Biden offered a tax credit for people who bought electric vehicles. Trump repeatedly and incorrectly referred to it as a mandate.

As America turns 250, Trump should restore Washington DC's original borders

    excerpt:

"Virginia Democrats just proposed an electoral map that would potentially give Democrats 10 of the state’s 11 representatives in the House. In a state that voted 46% for Trump, it is outlandish to only give Republican voters roughly 9% of the state’s representation. Virginia should be careful though. The only reason it has that much representation is because of its racist past. Perhaps President Trump should rectify that historical wrong with a long overdue fix."

It's a defensive response to the gerrymandering crusade that Trump started.

Fox has no issues with Trump's gerrymandering, but it is against the Democrats responding to it defensively.

Bondi's meltdown in front of Congress last week.

    excerpt:

French: Yeah. I mean, the most telling moment was when she tried to stop questioning about Epstein, which was ostensibly the subject of the testimony, by saying the Dow was at 50,000.

    Cottle: Oh my God.

French: Which is about as relevant as saying, “Why are we talking about Epstein when the Knicks won last night?”

"She seemed petulant and panicked and 100 percent on the defensive, which is not going to do anything to help the president overcome lingering suspicions that he has something to hide. Her performance with her burn book was a little like the scene out of “Mean Girls.”

And I totally agree that Democrats brought the heat. I mean, they’ve been slammed for not being tough enough on this administration. But they were not giving an inch as far as her distractions and deflections go. All she was doing was name-calling and bringing up former votes they had taken on completely unrelated things."

    excerpt:

"No administration wants their attorney general looking like a raving lunatic for the cameras. And that’s what came across. I think any person who watches that hearing does not think: Oh, Pam Bondi, you know, a reasonable, sober-minded political official, a law enforcement official. But that they think: Pam Bondi — a lunatic. And I think that the fact that Democrats are able to evoke that reaction from Bondi is a political win for Democrats.

Even if Trump is sitting back in his chamber — I don’t know, I’m imagining him like Jabba the Hutt in the palace, like looking at television — even if that’s the situation and Trump is enjoying it, it’s political malpractice to allow something like this to happen."

Trump tried to defend it by saying that he's doing more for crypto and AI than anyone to keep America safe from China.

That's after Trump took a half billion dollars from UAE for his crypto business and later allowed semiconductor chips to be sold to UAE. He eventually also allowed them to be sold to China if the U.S. government gets a cut of the money of the sales, once again moving the U.S. toward a state-run economy (that he chastises China for being).

Rosie O'Donnell quietly returns to US after abandoning country over Trump's victory

    excerpt:

"Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship," he wrote in July 2025. "She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

He later renewed the threats in September 2025, writing, "She is not a Great American and is, in my opinion, incapable of being so!"

Canada Is Now Being Joined By Two Other Countries In Boycott Of U.S. National Parks

    excerpt:

However, Tessa Petit, Executive Director of the Florida Immigrant Coalition, is now urging international travelers to avoid Florida due to the “risk of being kidnapped and jailed until God-knows-when, in deplorable conditions, by a secret police who is using racial profiling, judging people for how they look or their accent, and getting away with literal murder in the streets of our country.”

    https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/16/...iladelphia-washington-slavery-injunction.html

    excerpt:

"A federal judge on Monday ordered the Trump administration to temporarily restore displays about George Washington’s ownership of enslaved people at a monument on the site of his former house in Philadelphia. The judge said the government’s claim to have the power to erase and alter historical accounts at the country’s monuments echoed George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984.”
