    an elderly woman stands
    staring off into the distance
    wondering
what is life? whats with this persistence
    a boy stands
    a million thoughts floating by
why must blue be the colour of the sky?
    a dog stands
    mislead
    "MISSING"...a poster read,
    missing, alone, confused
is it all just to be amused?
i'm lost, insecure, and at my all time low
    but do you acknowledge it?
    will anyone ever truly know
how much i dwell, on the littlest things
the words i seek...are not the ones anyone brings
high i hold myself, having the courage again
    though everything is degrading
i'm just asking for someone to lend
a bit of their superiority fixation
can they for once not make such crude accusations?
too short, too fat, so plain, too weird
    too dumb, too complex
    too ugly, too queer
and i struggle every day, in this very mirror
    and once again...like every day
    i live my own fears.

    'an elderly woman stands

That is one helluva start! Love it! I just wish you had this seminal focus for the whole piece.
