Do you think kids are growing up to fast...

Do you? Do you think that they are growing up to fast these days?

The other day I was walking down the street to get my mail and this little boy, he could have been more than 5 or 6 maybe younger, yelled, Hey Baby and grabbed his crotch and stuck out his tonge and made some crazy action with it..
haha it was funny, but I couldnt believe it, I was totally shocked...
There are hundreds of other examples but I dont have all day and I am sure you dont want me to list them..
So, what are your thoughts..

I agree. I used to think, wow I guess I was just a dork at that age and didn't know anything, but I really beleive kids are acting like adults WAY sooner than kids did 10 years ago, even 5 years ago. It's just getting worse.

Just because of this, I question wanting kids.

 

I got cat called at by this kid who was about 8 or 9 and I chased him down and beat him up.

really, I can't take that shit. I hit him in the face and told him he would remember to respect women next time. His parents came over and asked about it, but I said, "are you kidding? I'm 18! (I was at the time) Do I really look like I'd sink that low?" they believed me! I never felt bad about it. the kid cried and got punished for lying.

 

When I worked at J.C. Pennys, I worked in the kids department and I could not believe how grow up these 8 and 9 year olds were and looked.. This one girl came up to me and asked if we had really tight jeans cause she wants to show off her plump ass as she was 7!!!!! I said, I dont think soo (haha even though we did which i find revolting)

 

I used to do stuff like that when i was like 8 or 9, but I looked like i was 6 or 7.

 

yeah, that's another thing. I DO NOT want a girl. I would love her, but I don't think I'd love her liek I would a son. I know that's awful, but I was a little bratty attention slut as a kid. I don't want to raise one.

I used to teach these pratom 1 English as in E.S.L. the funniest day of my year of teaching these guys was when we were doing "what's this" and "What's that" and had my back to them at the whiteboard doing something and I heard the cheeky one in my class say "hey Miss"...so I turned round and him and his friend are up on their chairs pointing at their crotch saying "what's this" in perfect English...after I stopped laughing I told them to ask their mother...
man did that lesson work or what!!!

 

of course kids are growing up much faster. 5 years ago when I was in the 8th grade we giggled @ the thought of blow jobs, we pondered about it & talked about it but never did it. Now I know 8th graders have blow job parties...even some 7th and 6th graders as well! ....To me thats insaine!

Last time I went to the mall I was surrounded by what I thought were a gang of prosititutes, turns out they were just 8th grade girls....

 

Everyone is differnt and has there own personallity. My daughter is so much stronger then I will ever be. She and I have our similarities but she is a person unto herself. To answer the question though, there is an apauling lack of dicipline these days due to DCFS. You can't even give a kid a little swat without risking losing your child. Parents let there children get away with any behavior they want becasue you can not scold your children anymore. Most people know the safe line, there is a lot of over reacting. I think it's discusting when i see a small child make a sexual jesture or something like that. I'm not even a conservative person, but too me that's just gross that kids would even be exposed to sexual jestures. Peaople need to learn about setting limits and boundries.

 

Those damn 8th graders! Its just so weird to think how gross 8th graders have gotten since I was in 8th grade, a mere 5 yrs. ago!

 

i worked at a sports camp last summer...great job. i was a camp councilor for kids aged 8-14. i swear, some of these kids, just wow. i had a kid, i think he was 11 saying he sold drugs on a regular basis. i didn't believe him, nor did any other councilors, but still, who in their right mind would say they sell drugs when they are 11-12 years old. and some of the clothes the girls wore were just revolting and most of them got dropped off by there parents. it was crazy.

 

Times are a changing thats for sure! How do we change this behavior of these young kids though? I mean y in the hell do they think the skanky the better, and that drugs is something to joke about at age 11!

 

Hell yes I do, why just the other day my neighbor's kid was asking me to buy stock in his teddy bear hospital.

 

I think kids are exposed to a ton of crap. In our parents' day, Elvis could only be shown shaking it on TV from the waist up. Now we have Christina's "Dutty" video (or whatever it's called) and crap like that....Kids have no idea where the boundaries are for what's acceptable. Young girls are dressing like whores, thinking how sexy they look.....at 8 or 9.

The high-risk behavior I hear about now is disgusting......sex parties with multiple partners. AIDS is going to wipe out that generation.....
