How often do you go to church??

How often do you go to church? Do you participate in church?

 

I try to attend both sunday and wednesday service. However, I do not drive and lately I have only been able to get a ride on wednesday.

 

i have church on sundays,sometimes i go tot he evening servise(our church has 2 churches on both side of the harbour)i go to the church band singing prac on tuesdays,then once a month we have the whole band meet for us to talk about worship,then if there are any events going on then i will so get involved in it because i am so behind everytihng that the church is doing for my city!

we have this massive event soon and im involved with that aswell!

 

I go to church every Sunday, but only in the morning. Only a few times a year I attend both services.

 

Never... and I feel the world of good because of it...

 

as often as I can, so pretty much every sunday unless Im working, i usualy go to bible camp for a week in the summer and for a weekend in may im going to a youth forum, oh and I usually help with the vacation bible school at my church

 

My husband and I do not believe in organized religion, so no, we do not attend church services.

 

i beleive church is the roof that we live under. i have/nt attended church for decades . i also believe that the church has sold out and religion causes more wars than most things . therefore i have my own communication with god " in my own home........./peace/

 

that is like saying you love jesus but hate his bride!

I don't go to church, although I used to go three times a week.

 

the church is christs bride,his love.
saying you hate the church is liek saying you hate his missus,the bible describes the church to christs bride.

now i can understand not wanting to go to some churches,many that i was at when i was a kid were so bitter and hypocritical,but out there there are some really great churches,gods plan is for us to be planted in the house of god aswel as having our own personal relationship with him.Nothing can grown without being planted and an arm cannot function properly without the rest of its body(the churches is likened to the body of christ).

I prefer to think for myself, and foster my own beliefs about God. I have a spiritual relationship with Him, and I don't need a church to provide that.

 

One thing that always gets me is people talking about how they don't need the Church. Well, that can be argued at a later time. However, for all you people who don't need the Church, have you ever considered that maybe the Church needs you?

 

yeah good point!
if you are an encourager,the church need those people,maybe you have gifts that other dont that will help build gods church!
maybe you ahve something placed inside you that will change the way that people see church!.

im sorry but thats not the plan of god!
god has a fantastic plan for us all,he has a destiny for each one of us!
gods dreams for us are beyond our wildnest dreams nad if we have a relationship with him he wil lead us to those things,giving your life over to christ on your death bed is a waste of the adventure that you could have had.

 

.......hi arlia firstly thanks for your reply . without putting words in my/your mouth " i did not say i hated the church. i was wondering if you have read a book by hugh mc"gregor called= jesus untouched by the church ( his teachings in the gospel of thomas)?. here is a chapter from it = only one book recording the teachings of jesus"and only a single ancient copy of that book"has escaped being touched by the church.i would recommend anyone to try and get hold of this book . also can we trust these so called priests who preach to us ( while they commit hedious crimes of child abuse etc etc ) . i will say again " i will have a spiritual connection with god in my own home " and i dont think i should be judged by anyone for doing so .my own personall opinion is also that satan has conned his way into most churches (houses of god ) as you say. i guess i am saying that i agree with you to a certain degree " its just knowing which churches are still pure ( holy) if you know what i am saying.........../ peace/
