Ah, the right of passage of the First Cellphone. The next one is the one where you realize that you don't need a cellphone.
god, why do people make a big deal if they get a cell phone? ...as a rite of passage? whaaat? It's a device that you talk into... it doesn't constitute into growing up...
It does for me, man. I also include my first snowboard, my first guitar, my first CD, my first kiss, ect. Stuff that makes life interesting really. It doesn't mean I'm maturing. Well, the parents see that I guess since they gave me the thing. Plus some of us folks have boring lives.
you can have a first phone .....im real happy n stuff bout it ....but concider how handy a phone that zaps badly behaving types that threaten one could be .
eh...I've always seen experience (rather than materiality) as the key to the process of maturation, but ...whatever suits you.
I dont have a cell phone nor do I ever want one edit: but like its cool you're happy hahahaha I mean I'm just an anti-phone loser
Theres reasons why I have the phone other then convenience. Ties in with my dad and the divorced wife that tries to cling on to him. I get to be in the middle of it all. W00t. I'm happy I don't have to pay for it too. Lol. Yeah, maturity does come in experience but I'm sick of living off that totally and not really getting anything fun to play with material-wise. Plus those things I labeled have given me some happy memories. They come with experience.
BTW Raf, I see your shirt. Haha, I have the Squirt one. They got bandshirts and they got soda shirts. Hehe
cell phones are pointless for young people to have, unless its for like business, or if you are going on a road trip, as a precaution... but i mean, why does everyone have them at school...who are you gonna call and who is gonna call you...if you need a phone carry 35cents around [its 35 cents here, its stupid]... but i mean, WHY, why...i have like no money, and i am perfectly happy not having any thing like that... OH My, my parents just bought me a nintendo for being responsible and helping around the house, things i should be anyways *sorry for my cynicism, well not really, but yeah
dude maby in canada they still have working public phones but most of the usa its beeN GONE FOR A WHILE .
maybe its the doing of cell phone companies so you buy expensive phones and expensive plans so you can walk around looking like weirdos talking to yourself
if you didnt realise it i was being sarcastic...and im sure theyre are payphones throughout malls etc in the states...
