my first time.... normal????

last night i smoked 1/2 a gram of 10x salvia in a pipe. it was the first time that i have ever touched salvia. after the second toke, which i held down for 15 secs, i completly forgot where i was. on the third, i had to lie down and on the fourth, the trees and bushes out of my window turned to pink tenticles, with yellow suckers. the trip lasted about 10 mins.... during which i laughed so much my sides hurt.

is this the usual reaction?

but you don't need to smoke so much of it usually
take less & hold longer

yeah, half a gram is a very excessive amount. it shouldn't take more than one big hit held in for as long as you possibly can.
