this is a print I did for the song Red Sector A. the lyric for this print is "all we can do is just survive,"
That is awesome. I love the colors you used... really captures the feel of it. It conveys a sense of uneasiness and courage... really cool.
*starts singing* I hear the sound of gunfire at the prison gates are the liberators here, do I hope or do I fear? For my father and my brother its too late but I must help my mother stand up straight! Oh I LOVE RUSH!!! Geddy Lee is the reason I play bass!!! You know, they were my first ever concert!!! This year is their 30th anniversary! Wahoo! ...exit stage left...
*steps in with acoustic...(this song would work acoustic!) sings with moonlight* I clutch the wire fence until my fingers bleed A wound that will not heal A heart that cannot feel Hoping that the horror will recede Hoping that tomorrow we'll all be freed! Yea! nice work my brother...fits the song well...you can feel it. this next little bit is dedicated to my friend ashley, who i miss and hope to hear from soon...i hope shes doing well. this is a little diddy from force ten *strums c cord and starts to sing slow clear and true* I find no absolution In my rational point of view Maybe some things are instinctive But there's one thing you could do You could try to understand me I could try to understand you You could try to understand me I could try to understand you
Thank you all so much. it's so cool to have one of my favorite Rush songs recited to me and get such great compliments on a print i worked so hard on. Awesome...thanks
RON!!!! Oh I missed you! I've made a recent summerly come back to the forums. YAY!!! Nice work on the old acoustic and yes, I always play Red Sector A on the old Takamine. Hey man, I gotta get your number and call you sometime with my oh so trusty calling card! Love you!!! We've got a lot of catching up to do old friend o'mine.
yeah it's a lino, nearly butchered my hand trying to make it. it's from a drawing i did in a Red Sector A series for my drawing class
Well, either way I think its marvelous... count on Rush for artistic inspiration. Neil Peart is the reason I write.
