    G'day hipsters!
I'm having a baby with my lurvely g'friend and we're having trouble thinking of a name if it's a boy. We're thinking Evelyn Amelie if it's a girl and maybe Mellow for a middle name if it is a boy but we're stuck for a first name. Can anyone think of a good name(s) for a boy that goes with Mactier (my surname)? We were thinking of Isaac but with Mactier it's a bit too uckmuck (say it out loud).

how do you pronounce macteir? is it mack-teer? (rhyming with beer?) or is it more like the french pronunciation like mack-tee-A (rhyming with say?)

I always loved Emerson, Levi, and Layne. Noah was almost an Emerson, but he just didn't look like one when he popped out. :) A friend of mine named her son Marley. I thought it was cute. :)

    Congratulations!

Yes, yes, Eden Mactier sounds nice! (I hope I spelled that right...) I don't think Isaac Mactier sounds bad at all, and I love the name Isaac! Isaac Eden sounds good too, or Eden Mellow... Congrats on the babe!

we have Judah picked out for our boy's name, cuz it's strong and traditional, but not as traditional as "John" or "james"

we are having some trouble finding a girls name to go with Kaya though. maybe Anya or Adia?? i have a feeling it is going to be a girl though, just cuz we don't have a name:) that's how it was with Kaya. she would have been Van if a boy.

good luck with everything, but remember that nomatter what you have picked out, you will just know when they are born that they are meant to be named whatever is chosen.

    you'll know.--sweetpeace

Just thought I'd revive this thread to say he's eight months old now, doing really well. Happy and smiley. Pretty tough to get him to go to sleep with the late evenings but generally we're chuffed to bits.

Oh, and his name's Eden Kester Mactier. I wanted Mellow as a middle name - it was Lyndsey's (enigma rising) suggestion but she went off it when I decided I liked it... she does that a lot:confused: . Anyway, he seems to like the names he's got. Thank you so much Chickabean - you named our baby!
