How many of you would quit smoking if your girlfriend/ boyfriend really wanted you to?

Could you have a relationship in which the other partner didn't smoke?

What if they were ok with it, but didn't want to do it with you, would you still want to be with them?

    Would you lie?

Would you choose pot over a person?

A lot of my friends make their boyfriends stop smoking to date them...I think it's ridiculous and I don't know why guys put up with it. I hate it because I'd like to date those guys...I wouldn't try to change them...I'd smoke with them..haha..

I can't say I would NOT date someone who didn't smoke as long as I never heard a complaint. I wouldn't date anyone that would bitch about my smoking pot. it's just me.

I really enjoy smoking with my man. I would like to think that if I ever end up single again, I could share it liek I do now.

wow, your welcome to smoke with me anytime.

I would never quit for anyone, it would have to be my decision alone.
Having a relationship with someone who didnt smoke is fine by me, but smoking with your girlfriend is by far the coolest thing ever.
I never lie. Choosing pot over a person hmmm...it would totally depend on the person.

I think the person should accept you for who you are and if they dont like the fact that you smoke then too bad. I would date someone that didnt smoke, but they would have to be ok with me doing it.

    agree...
weed over a person? hmmm.... well weed has feelings too in my point of view. You plant it, water it, feed it, grow it, love it, harvest it, smoke it... Plus, it never cheats on you, or annoys you or complains... and you never have to wait for it to wash its hair or do make-up ;)

How many of you would quit smoking if your girlfriend/ boyfriend really wanted you to? hell no, im 16 so its not like we are getting married.

Could you have a relationship in which the other partner didn't smoke? yeah

What if they were ok with it, but didn't want to do it with you, would you still want to be with them? fuck yeah more weed for me!
Would you lie? nope, my bad habits aint private

Would you choose pot over a person? at this age, probably, simply because im only interested in the pussy and not the person(feel free to call me a dickhead!) and i plan on stopping for a few years when i start having a family until my kids are old enough to learn the facts and safety procedure so its in my plans in the future but not now.

I really don't like being controlled at all, which if someone asked me to quit smoking pot, I would percieve as controlling behavior and would be very uncomfortable with that. I don't think its that big of a deal at all that I smoke. I can understand people being uncomfortable with the fact that is illegal. I don't think it is a 'bad' thing that I smoke though - I smoke in moderation, sometimes everyday, other times not for weeks.

I would try and quit smoking cigarettes for someone I love though as I feel its a much greater health hazard than pot.

if you want me to quit smoking weed then you don't love me man thats how i feel about it. When someone loves you they love you for who you are and don't try to make yoou into them.

I'm so glad I got the responses I did. There's so many of Erik's younger friends who try and hide the fact that they smoke from their girlfriends or even really stop smoking for them!!

I always say the ladies come and go, but pot will always be there waiting quietly.

yeh i hate when people are lyig about that sorta stuff of keeping it full secret.

people sem to equate 'pot over a person' as meaning 'you value weed more than you value a human being' instead of what it really means 'you prefer to spend time having weed than spend time with someone who stops you having weed'

How many of you would quit smoking if your girlfriend/ boyfriend really wanted you to? I'd listen to my significant other and if they had valid reason(s) behind asking me to stop, I'd take it into consideration. Ultimately, it's still my decision.

Could you have a relationship in which the other partner didn't smoke? Of course.

Would you lie? Lying is always a bad idea. Especially when it is over something trivial like weed, there's no point in ruining a relationship with dishonesty just for a little smoke.

Would you choose pot over a person? People are more important than a plant. But if my boyfriend had a serious problem with my smoking habits that he just couldn't get over, I can't see the relationship working. I would cut back, but I wouldn't quit altogether unless he had a really good reason for asking me to. I wouldn't ditch anybody to smoke though. That's really low.

Basically, I'd expect him to be reasonable, and I'll be reasonable in return.

Never ever does it even work... If you do quit, it always tends to be the reason for a not so much later break up. Thats just in my expierience, I beleive that if you cant accept someone and love them without changing them, then obviously you have not found the right person and you need to keep looking.

How many of you would quit smoking if your girlfriend/ boyfriend really wanted you to? never, thats like asking me to stop breathing. If they cant accept that I am who I am, then the relationship obviously wouldn't work out in the long run.

Could you have a relationship in which the other partner didn't smoke? of course

Would you lie? been there, done that. In the end, he told me that drugs were taking over my life and he couldn't watch someone do that to themselves and not help. screw him, drugs were NOT taking over my life.

Would you choose pot over a person? it really would depend on the person.

How many of you would quit smoking if your girlfriend/ boyfriend really wanted you to? i dont' think i would unless there is a really really good reason for me to stop. i would stop drinking for a gf though, cuz i know that there is potential for future abuse of alcohol - i've already been there.

Could you have a relationship in which the other partner didn't smoke? yup

Would you lie? no, i despise lying.

Would you choose pot over a person? probably not because i don't need pot, its a luxury.
