I hope someone takes the time to help me out here......... I know there's online views of maps, but does anyone know where I can actually purchase (a big fold out map or book) that has pages with different sections with an alphabetical index in the back or front for the streets for the state of California, so I can easily find the name of a street and I can just turn to that page in the book to locate it? Or if it comes in the form of a fold out map, that would be fine, too, I looked on Amazon and other places, but I'm not sure which ones are the right ones to get, you know? I'm not familiar, so if you can give me a specific link to the actual item that I'm talking about, that would be great. I'd appreciate it, thank you.
try at mapquest..... they might have maps you can buy.... in fact, what your looking for sounds like an Atlas of California. You might want to try AAA for that. They should be able to get you all kinds of maps, maybe even free (only if your a memeber I think). I'm not sure what thier website is, but just search for Triple A or AAA on Google. Hope this helps
How do you get an AAA map? Is their supposed to be offices in each state? Can i get a map of other states?
There are AAA offices all over the place. Just look in your phone book or even call information. Theres tons of them. I'm not sure about non-members, but I know that members can get as many free maps as they want. My wifes mother works for AAA (corporate position) so we have a membership and we get tons of maps all the time for nothing.
It sounds like what you're looking for is a Thomas Guide, but I don't think they cover a whole state. Where I live it covers a three county region, but it's like what you describe, with the list of streets referencing you to a specific map.
Yeah, thats what they are called. Thomas Guide (at least I think thats what I'm thinking of) I'm not sure where to get those though....
