Anyone know who sang this?

It's a version of "Who Do You Love?" but I know it's not the George Thorogood one. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Think Bo Diddly did it first, subsequently covered by all sorts of bluesy rockers.

It really sounded like the Blues Project, but it might have been the Doors.

Derek, was it a live or studio recording that the Yardbirds and the Blues Project did?

 

They're both live recordings, but the Yardbirds may have also recorded a studio version.

I think the Doors version is so much better than Thouragoods. Sounds more wicked.

 

There's a 5-part version (who, when, where, etc.) on Quicksilver's "Happy Trails" album. It's followed by "Mona," another Bo Diddley song, which the Stones had also done in their early days.

 

The Doors have a six minute cover of it on Absolutely Live and I have a Grateful Dead cover that's 1:34.
