He was a character actor going back to the mid 1950s. He played Liza Minelli's father in "Arthur", and Herman Goering in the original "The Producers" by Mel Brooks. Countless other roles on TV.
thats so sad... i always watch seinfeld. even though they are all re-runs, they are all still so funny! maybe they will do a tribute and have a marathon.. i think that would be the right thing to do.
what a bummer Whenever I can't find my wallet, I always think of him in the episode where he thought someone stole it at the doctor's office. My wallets gone!
He was pretty funny. usually when there's a fill in for an original character, it fails. but he took morty seinfeld and took it to god-like levels. his memorable acting in this american sitcom will not be forgotten. r.i.p. barney martin
that's the wrong guy. that's frank costanza, george's dad. played by jerry stiller. morty seinfeld is jerry's dad.
"Four-thirty? Who eats dinner at four-thirty?" "By the time we sit down, it'll be quarter to five." - Jerry and Mort Seinfeld, in "The Cadillac" He'll be missed.
