I love mucking about in Painter while tripping on shrooms. Fun things happen. Fun, "fractal underwater bugthings" happen, as a friend of mine described this image.

noice with an ! I gotta try out this idea when i get my hands on the "art supplies"....

i've tried expressing myself artistically while on DXM, buuuut i lose many, if not all, of my motor skills while dexing. I was writing down some random ideas the last couple times i tripped, but they dont' make much sense.

it's like a seahorse, underwater, on fire, with arms and legs that remind me of the thing that crawled into Neo's bellybutton in the first matrix movie.... it's totally rad, and impressive that it was done while you were on a trip. kudos.

Thats awesome, one hell of a lot better than anything I could do on painter. Good job...Tripping and the arty stuff mix so well :)

Hey, thanks everybody! I'm glad you all enjoyed this image, as I certainly enjoyed making it! This is only the second time I have made art while tripping, and the first time was created in a fairly shitty online program called an oekaki. This, however, was made with the latest version of Painter, a program that mimics real media; there are brishes that look like chalk, like watercolor, like acrylic, like oil pastel, etc. Different textures for the paper, different eraser effects, all kinds of fun stuff! I haven't even begun to figure out what all this program can really do, but there are some exceedingly talented folks out there who create art with it that will just blow your mind! Also, I use a pressure-sensitive wacom tablet as opposed to a mouse, which is pretty much essential if you want to work in painter.

This is the only trip art I have on this computer, but I hope to create much more in the future! I do have plenty of my sober art stored on this box, htough, which I will post in a separate thread.

I should also probably mention that I wasn't tripping hardkore when I drew this; the shroom chocolates we ate only gave us a very mild (and somewhat dissapointing) trip. I honestly don't know if I can create anything at all while really tripping . . . I guess I'll find out next time, eh? Woohoo!

Thanks again for the kind words, everyone!

i really like the colors you used. it's good because it's by itself. it didn't need a background. i love it.
