    :sunglasse Goddess

O’ do I mourn the goddess

    that Christendom disdain.

Wandering black forest, wilderness of pain.

How do I weep for Venus her beauty and her grace.

I pray for Athena, her wisdom withered face.

Your pedestal defiled by the hubris of war,

Your enemies do scorn you like a haggard whore.

The irony of Isis who Osiris’ life did save,

Now yoked in subjugation, now treated as a slave.

O’ do I mourn the world that goddess made complete,

Its actions now lopsided contain their own defeat.

Hope burns for the goddess, though buried has it laid,

Asking one request that their world we won’t let fade.

This hope is not an object that the senses can detect.

The hope itself is knowledge, in works of intellect.

There is a day we pray for, when the goddess ascends her throne.

Lord and love together, not each unto their own.

    'tis more then hope

good poem, i liked the message and the delivery was pretty good. but remember, we have to spread the awareness of spirituality. i mean, don't show it to them, but set it up for them to see. there are many ways to spark spirituality without sparking prejudices. most of all, res ipsa loquitur...

    hi there
i do love these words of
    inner belief

but to be slaves to any thing including
nature goddess or gods, will only
cause the self a inner fear of unbelieving
in anything ie the inner truth
be stronge to enjoy your faith
    not being bound by something
that may be a higher representation
    of to be living.........

i too enjoy the world around the spirits the
energy but i will not bow to these
i view with an air of change
    to change and grow....

    thank you for this post
    lovenpeace from saff
be whole to be free to believe
    unbound and living ,

ironically enough, it means "the thing speaks for it's self". but life is full of beautiful contradictions, and we will only be truly free and unbound once we all realize we are bound. sometimes the only way to get something is to let it go. acceptance is the highest virtue...
