Hey Everyone, Me and a friend will be in A'dam April 22nd-26th. I have been twice and stayed in decent hotels. Hotel Inntel and Hotel Estherea. This time around I am trying to spend a little less cash on a hotel. The most I want to spend is about 120 euros a night..can anyone personally recommend some nice places in this price range? My daughter and I just got back from Amsterdam. We stayed in the Hotel Luxer. Found out that it is right on the edge of the Red Light District. This is OK, though, because it's far enough away from the "action" that we weren't kept up all night with noise, but if you WANT to be near the Red Light District, it's just a block or so away. Also, it is easily within walking distance from Centraal Station and other interesting things. Dam Square is easy walking distance from Hotel Luxer also. All the staff was very friendly to us, they spoke English, and had a decent free breakfast. The room was clean, there is an elevator, and we really enjoyed the stay. There's an old guy there that I think is the handy man, Harry. He is really a trip!
