I've been doing exactly that for the past six hours - nothing seems to work.

I could care less if my computer was fucked up if you were here though. The primary reason I have it is for talking to you lynsey

You need to give us more information before we can help you out. What exactly is the problem that you are experiencing? What makes you think it is a virus? You mentioned something about cleaning the registry, but made no reference to it in your post. Why do you want to clean the registry?

I believe it is a trojan virus. McCaffee keeps finding them. I had an old version of Norton that kept finding what it called the Bloodhound virus.

There seems be to quite a few things on Bloodhound.Exploit(#).... but there seems to be several different ones too, and some are erroneous...do you know the Exploit #? If you can get the number... theres usually something you can look up on your search engine to explain more and resolve it

I think it was 32. I'll try that

Its just an odd virus - a bazillion pop ups and several words on pages become hotlinks to search sites for instance, every place it says can in your post there is a link to a search for it. I also now have this little pop search window down in the right hand corner along the menu bar above where the time is that I didn't put there and can't seem to get rid of.

As I said in another post, I'm not a violent guy, but people who write viruses or spyware really should be punished with broken fingers - make them think twice about screwing with someones computer.

Google for "Hijack This". Download the program. I recommend placing it in C:\HJT You shouldn't try to run it from the desktop because it will not work properly. Run a scan and then post your Hijack This log here. I would also recommend checking out a freeware trojan detection program called a-squared. You should be able to easily find it with google as well. I'm still not sure why you need a registry cleaner, but I would recommend using RegSeeker. It's one of the best and also happens to be free. It also automatically makes backups of all the registry keys that you delete, so if you mess anything up during a cleanup you can restore the deleted keys.

if you're running an o/s with system restore...turn it off, run ad-aware, your anti-virus and anything else that makes you feel warm and fuzzy, kill the thing boot then turn system restore back on
