    greatings from KMT

Ive been twisting my hair since it was long enough for me to grab at, the hair on the sides and back of my haid had gotten long enough to back-comb so I've been doing that, I was delighted when they didnt come loose after a shower,

just have afew questions, how often should I back comb my hair, also does twisting help cos Im always doin it out of habit? I have curliyish hair(Im egyptian)?

the hair right on top of my head to be growing alot slower than the sides and back also a little lighter, will this effect the dreads?

last and not least how often should I wash my hair? (I didnt use wax, I wanted to do it naturally)

    thanks everyone!

wash it every couple of days if you want to dont use any conditioner though. Avoid shampoos with chemicals.
Twisting shouldnt do any harm at all really but it doesnt really help lock either :p however you are lucky as curly hair dreads well.

Hair usually appears to grow quick ont he bottom than onthe top, its not the case its just the way it looks (that wonderful "growing my hair long" mullet people get is a good example of it)

Back comb it as much as you like but if its not taking to being back combed then just leave it as it will knott itself naturally

    happy knotting

DON'T TWIST THEM! hahaha. I made the mistake of twisting mine the first week or so and it made them come out a lot. Palm roll.. don't twist. :)

I think you should be able to just let your hair go all natural and it will dread nicely. I backcombed mine only once to start em and let them go after that. I had to back comb a few of them a second time cause they didnt take to well. Just dont ever use wax. It takes forever to get all of it out. I just finally got all the wax out my hair a couple of months ago.

    Happy Dreading & Jah Bless

we backcomb mine every week or so just to make sure the hair stays somewhat seperated =)... mine are all fluffy and stuff cuz my hair quit making a ton of oil since it used to not being washed every day now..................................... just put in some lemon juice today to. i really dont know why, i just put it in there sometimes and wash it out the next day LOL, probly put it in to give myself a reason to wash my hair tomorrow since i don't remember how long its been since i washed it HAHA
