I was looking for this in the little booklet that comes with my birth control pills but didn't see any answers... I'm just curious if your are still covered on those 7 days your off during the pill cycle. Like when you're supposed to be on your period are the pills still doing there job?
you are covered every day of the month if you take your pill correctly, including the days of your cycle. birth control works by preventing ovulation. are you already on the pill? because i just switched from one pill to a different (possibly higher-hormone) one due to negative side effects.. the first pill made me moody and depressed all the time.. i'm not really sure if that's changed now, since i started taking a supplement for depression around the same time as i started on the new pill. the only noticeable difference is the new one has made me gain a few pounds. while on both pills i haven't even had a great desire to have sex. so basically i was just wondering if you had encountered any of these side effects as well?
I totally had the same effects, not with the weight gain, but with the depression. For my first few months on it I experienced a whole mess of mental issues, but they sort of faded away with time. I have had some oddities latley though. On the pill your cycle is supposed to be like clockwork right? Well I've already gotten my period twice this month and I'm starting to seriously doubt if that might mean they are not working right. Anyway, I heard on it you store more water in your body or something and that's what causes weight gain. I'm pretty sure if the brand suits you well enough any side effects though go away over time, and if not keep switching until there's the least amount of issues possible...
