On saturday I took some flowers to my mother for easter. And on sunday I had a friend over for dinner and I let her beat me at chess. In the hope of getting laid..
Most of my working life I was a baker, an now days I'm just working part time here and there, so in my spare time I been baking apple pies and givin em away. A couple weeks ago I baked three in cake pans about 20" by 11" and dropped em off at a church that caters mostly to alcoholics, addicts and street folks that has a dinner for em every other satuday. I buy about half the apples which are cheap anyway and pull the rest from a dumster behind a fruit and produce company downtown and some from a Whole Foods Market trash barrels were there being saved to give to a hog farmer. Nothing wrong with the apples that can't be cut away and I get a big bang outa peoples reaction to the pies. The more a person gives the more they get which gives em more to give and it rolls along very well, kinda of a karma kind of deal I guess. Keep passing the love, it'll always come back aome times when it least expected and really needed.
I always try to be helpful whenever I can. "Acts of kindness" is something I try to just make a part of my life. I believe situations and opportunities are sent to us to do with as we may. I choose to answer with love in any way I can. When I act in pure love..I expect nothing in return..it is sent with no expectations. Every day I do whatever I can to make the day easier for my sweetie. I do whatever I can to put a smile on my dogs face. The cat...well, she's hard to read, but I do what i can. When I am in public, I do all the door holding and smiling I can, if someone looks lost or confused I ask if I can help. I did tutor a young boy down the road but he was taken away to live elsewhere. I don't get out much, but I have sent art work to some of my friends here and have surprised them. One of the sweetest things I've ever seen larry do was one day when we were at the library and we were walking to the desk to check out and there was a woman sitting reading with the book almost touching her nose it was so close. She wasn't dressed very well, and looked as if she could use some friends in her life, she was a bit older...anyway as we were walking I saw him looking at her and he told me to wait a minute, he walked over and handed her his reading glasses. The look on her face was priceless. teepi
I GAVE a new friend some computer equipment, and help. Because he's NEW to our computer world, but he's an old Hippy!
Peace WE, what a nice Easter you had. i just sat at home because i didnt work and i went to look at a fairly nice 55 Packard! i may just buy it and restore that one to. but Old Betsy is #1 then i will decide what classic to get next for a project. and some good advice- when working on a car dont let your sister help you! she hid 2 or 3 of my bumper brackets that total over 100 bucks. but that other 57 has the brackets. i had her take the front bumper off and i was working in back of the car sadly not watching her and i have the photos to prove they where on the car but i am not worried bucause what good would bumper brackets off a 57 do for her? unless she plans on buying a 57 any time soon she dont need them! i know the area where they are in the garage where my car is but i dont know exactly where. when i find out i am going to put a dead fish under her bed later the tired flower child
