Dunno why but I've never been a fan of girls wearing Nail Varnish on their fingers or toes. I think it may be that part of what I find attractive about bare feet is how natural it looks and to see bright colours on the toes rather detracts from that.

On the other hand, I do think it's cool when male transvestites wear it. Just because it looks different and amusing in a way. But then i don't know any transvestites personally and all I see of it is Eddie Izzard on telly and he's a very funny bloke anyway!

I suppose the colours I'd least mind seeing on a girl's toes would be the darker duller less shiny ones as they'd not look as completely out of place in that naturalistic barefoot look, even if they wouldn't be any more likely to occur naturally. I suppose dark nails could be reminiscent of dirty nails, but that's stretching the imagination a bit. I'll shut up now, I'm a bloke, what would I know about make-up after all?

Usual thinking is that only male transvestites wear nail polish, and in fact it becomes more widespread within "normal" males :)

Male transvestites are normal males. But any male who's going to wear an item of clothing or undertake a form of decoration, however insubstantial that's usually associated with females could be considered a transvestite, and a very normal one at that!

I like those dark red, vamp sort of colors. And green too, but someone once told me that green looks like fungus....so I havent worn it since. My favorite is this one brand (hmmmm...I forget the name) but in one lighting it will look blue and in another it will look purple. Those are fun;)

I propose that you post a bunch of pictures of your toenails painted all different colors, and we can choose the nicest ones! :D

When I see a girl's toes, I like her toenails natural unpainted, but that's not to say that I don't also like them with polish too. If they're polished, I like reds most of all, and I also like bright blues, and sometimes black is cute.

Once, last year, I went with two girls from work and we all got pedicures from this Korean nail salon! And while they were picking their colors, I thought it would be fun if I got my toenails painted as well! (Um, I'm a guy) So I picked silver, to match my Subaru. The lady thought it was funny, and painted my toenails! Later that day, I went to work with my toenails painted silver, and in fact I left it on from Monday through Friday night! And actually, the only people who even noticed (though I'm constantly barefoot or in flip-flops) seemed to be people to whom I mentioned it. Then they went, OH, yeah, you do have nail polish on! They were amused, but no one said anything stupid about it. (And like I would have cared if they had?)

It was fun, but I wouldn't make a habit of it, being a straight male.

    Blue skies,
    -Jeffrey

I think that took a lot of guts to go out in public with painted toenails, even though I don't see anything wrong with that as long as it's once in a while.

I too love getting pedicures, in fact last week at the mall I saw another guy getting one. One you get one you're hooked. Oh and by the way people....I'm strait, so please no comments about getting pedicures as being gay.

But to answer the question, I think bright red looks great on female toes, but often I prefer the no polish look.

Well I think going barefoot draws enough attention to your feet as it is, I don't think it's necessary to draw any more. I don't know any girls who are attracted to men with nail varnish on their fingers, never mind toes.

And I'm in agreement with jeff about girls and nail varnish. I don't think nail varnish is unattractive but I do much prefer it without. There's something very natural about seeing a girl go barefoot, and that's part of the big attraction for me. Painted nails doesn't look quite as natural.

i used to polish, but it comes off too quickly..besides..my feet get too dirty..depending on where i go.. when i sit, i have a habit of putting my heel on the other foot...so the dirt gets on top of them too..

I've seen the pictures, April -- your feet would look nice with or without polish, and with or without dirt. :p
