If what I'm listening to right now is the new Oasis single...

I found it on bearshare called "Oasis - Don't Believe the Truth - Lyla (New single!)"... the wall of guitars and overdub effects are very much like the songs of Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and Heathen Chemistry but I highly doubt it's Noel and Liam singing the song.

I guess we just have to wait until May 16th to find out... pooey

I remember downloading Heathen Chemistry before it was released and comming up with some sick teenager yelling "heathen chemistry...we are oasis"...

 

I downloaded the same the song, you can clearly hear that it's not oasis. I'm glad!

 

i dont hear it but if you said that it don't sound like oasis so it's gonna be great....because people (and rockcritics) were often tired that they sound too many times like themselves...i love better a band that can evolve (4 sure not in a radiohead way)

 

I'd like to hear Liam get back to his Be Here Now/SotSoG voice... those were his best, imo... you could tell he was ravaged by cigarettes on their last album.

That's what Noel's first plans were, I read it over at the Oasisinet forums, before I got banned

They've revealed the tracklist and I believe Noel said its a return to rock 'n' roll like their first album, mixed with songs that sound like nothing they've ever done before... i can't wait

If it is psychedelic tho, I hope its like classic psychedelia, and not SotSoG...

Wonderwall is still one of the most downloaded songs on itunes. Thats everyday it makes the top 100, thats pretty good.

 

Since band forgot to take some LSD (middle 70's) they lose their soul fool of inspirations in the hole of their minds...LSD or a lot of amount of Pipedreams can make u discover your deep inner soul ...
Cocaine and Bier don't find your soul ...they only find your ego ...and when they find it they force your ego to take coke and alcoohl ...the result is a super ego album a la "Physical Graffiti" or "Be Here Now" ...and for both bands this is not their peak...
