You're wrong if you think they are. Seriously though, do you believe that all opinions are equal to one another? They aren't, from a psychological point of view... if an opinion ignores reality, why should it be taken seriously?
because reality exists in the mind, all oppinions should be respected equilly, but they'll never be equil. Just reminded me of something Maggy Thatcher said: "All children are equil, but some are more equil than others!" Then she supported tri-party schools. (I will never vote tory)
So Hitler's opinion that the Jewish people were the cause of all problems should be respected as much as the opinion that "everybody on earth should be equal to one another"?
sorry, I actully have really strong views on this. NOT IN ONE OF HIS SPEACHES DID HITLER SAY ANYTHING ABOUT HURTING THE JEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just before he shot himself Hitler claimed he knew nothing about this (I don't know the details) there was a panel of people who hadled the running of Germany, Hitler was their figure head. He claimed it was all them. Hitler didn't like the Jews because they were ritch and people in Germany were STARVING TO DEATH! He didn't say hurt the Jews, if you know what his real oppinion was, from some official historical source I'll tell you if I think it should be respected as much as peace on earth
wth. sounds like complete "gar-baj" to me. I'm Jewish myself and I believe it's quite clear what Hitler's intentions were
wish I could =) I'm just saying, it's only some one's oppinion that Hitler thought that, check out his speaches (they were recorded on video camera and tape recorders, there's hitler museams all over, I think there's one on the web) he never says hurt the Jews, he just says the Jews are ritch while their neighbours are starving, and that is wrong (which in my oppinion it is) Hitler was a vegetarian. says summit about herbivors =P
Hitler was only a vegetarian for health reasons. Therefore, it says nothing about other vegetarians. Especially the ones who are vegetarians to minimize the amount of cruelty animals have to face.
I'm a vegetarian because I believe killing animals is wrong. I just meant if some one believes something, just because we disagree doesn't mean we should disrespect their beliefs (ignore Hitler) We should respect other people's oppinions equally, if they believe in something that's up to them. no two people can stand in the exact same spot on the planet, no two people can see the world from the exact same angel, no two people can have the exact same oppinions
"I believe today that I am acting in the sense of the Almighty Creator. By warding off the Jews I am fighting for the Lord's work." -- Hitler, Speech at the Reichstag, Berlin, in 1936.
it was implied even if he never actually muttered "kill all jews" "A single blow must destroy the enemy... without regard of losses... a gigantic all-destroying blow." - Adolf Hitler "Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live." - Adolf Hitler "Demoralize the enemy from within by surprise, terror, sabotage, assassination. This is the war of the future." - Adolf Hitler
but any way - if some one has an oppinion that they believe in that should be respected with out new views and oppinions the world will never change. You can think some one's wrong, but you should still respect what they think, it's their own oppinion. that's just my oppinion. I don't know Hitler personally, I've never had a conversation with him, I don't know what he thought. Opinions are not equal, but they SHOULD be respected. we should respect each other. Or at least, that's my oppinion
maybe. I keep trying to get off the point of Hitler, there was so much properganda running around in the war and after I don't know what he said. I just think we should respect other people's beliefs. if some one's a different religionto me that doesn't mean they're less equal or wrong. just means they see things differently
I think soulrebels original point that an opinion not based in reality is inferior to one based on hard fact
but how do we truly know all facts are facts? who is to say that up is not down, long isnt short, life isnt death, and existence is non-existent?
reality is the individual universe inside your head. Every one has their own reality. Some one who believes in God may believe god created the earth, where as a scientologist may not. who's to say either's wrong? how do we know what's fact or fiction? what gives us the right to say rubbish to other people's ideas? we should respect other people's oppinions, just because we don't understand doesn't make them any less right
