Thanks Tara;I just heard that also and went and posted it in the people thread, where there has been an ongoing debate. At least she is at peace now,and the living will have to cope with the bullshit which is to come out of this ordeal.
The woman, who lived for 15 yrs in exanimation.. her brain was just a water.. and her husband wanted the doctors to stop her suffering.. it's world-wide case.. even Bush came from holiday to say "don't kill her" but finally, court decided to .. I don't know how to say it.. to kill her..?
???? http://www.terrisfight.org/ So you were not keen on them removing the aides that kept her alive ?.
I have mixed feelings on the case of Terry Schiavo, I know I for one wouldn't want to be kept alive by such means. I think we'll see the day when people look back on this and say, "What was the big deal? Why were they trying to keep someone like that alive in the first place? Why was there so much fuss about removing her feeding tube? It's standard practice now!" Good or bad, I think that's where we're heading.
Although I felt that removing her feeding tube was the best thing to do, given her vegetative state for 15 yrs., her death saddened me. I feel for her family, and hope that they can now begin to heal, and not feel bitterness over the legal proceedings regarding Terri's care for the last 15 yrs. I wish them all peace, and for Terri's spirit, I wish love, joy, and FREEDOM!
