what do you belive about them? do you think that if you can't swallow your own food and water that you should die?
If a person is not dying, I don't think it's right unless that person signed a living will, stating that they would want to be put to death if in a chronic state, such as with Terri Schiavo's condition. If a person did not sign a living will, it is only right to err in favor of life in a situation like this. The state has no right to sentence a brain damaged woman to death, let alone through something as painful and inhumane as starvation and dehydration.
i agree with you 100 % matt. that is the smartest thing i've heard all day..who the hell do they think they are anyways.
i personally dont wantt o ever be taken off a sort of life support. who knows what is really going on in the minds of those people.
If I could breate, have a strong heartbeat, communicate, and think, I would want to have a feeding tube. If one of those functions was missing, I would rather die. I wouldn't want to starve to death though. I wouldn't want to be able to KNOW I'm am starving to death, anyway. Give me a shitload of morphine and let me be in peace.
Same with me... well depepnding on the quality of life... If i had brain damaged or needed life support forever and there isnt much they can do and they think ill never get better... let me go...
I want nothing to do w/any type of Life Support......or 911/Life Flight/et al. When my Time comes, it'll be Time for me to go w/o any outside interference...
