yankee stadium w/ my father and brother is one of my favorite memories of my childhood. sitting around with my mother talking about random crap is my best memory w/ my mother..and her taking me to breakfast when i was a real sprout.
hmm... with my mom, I'd probably say that it was last summer, when we went on vacation together to see her folks. It wasn't the best trip ever, but I'd moved out the year before and we hadn't been spending much time together then. My grandma... I used to wrap myself in this giant fox fur coat (she bought it before fur was this huge moral outrage, a loooong time ago) during the winter and I'd turn into a grey fluffball with a face... she'd laugh at me (in a nice way) My stepdad, definately when we used to make buns together (we called them Jamie buns because my cousin Jamie would eat an entire batch on his own if we let him). It was soooo much fun, though I think all I really did was help knead the dough. My real dad... I think just hanging out with him in the living room. I'd be playing with my toys and he'd be watching tv... but I could always make him come down and play with me if I wanted too (we'd talk during commercials too, it's not like he'd ignore me or anything)
With my dad I would say it was listening to music, playing soccer and football and just all the silly jokes we would make. With my mom I would say all the trips we go on and dancing and singing karaoke. It is just very strange how many typos there are in this thread...sheesh!
Well, I have got my mom into Keller Williams, now anytime he plays around us, we go to his shows. I even have a pic of My mom, Keller, and myself! She is also goin to the Dark Star Orchestra show on 4/20. So I would say goin to shows with my mom will be the one thing I will always treasure
my dad, he was always patiently teaching me something, thats about it. mom and me always have fun hanging out and talking about stuff, making up for lost time
As a kid, we'd do a lot of skiing together in the winter time and in the summertime go to Red Sox games or go out on my uncles boat. Now that they live down and Florida, we pretty much just drink together.
probbly at the beach in north carolina where we used to go to our family reunion every year. My parents finally stopped talking about my future career for 10minutes when we were there. Another time that sticks out is when my extremely anti-drinking mom camedown to visit me at college and drank 3 beers, its when I learned that my mom was known as a party girl when she was younger, hence her strictness and distrusting of her kids.
me and my mom went to the fair once and got drunk while watching a lynard skynard cover band together HAHAHA we have been going to festivals together for a few years, we even went to bonnaroo together my dad and i used to go to allman brothers shows and ozzfest together every year since i was in like the 4th grade, now i only see him at christmas time..........BLAH
I'm not sure if it was officially mom's weekend (man was that scary as a male student ) but it did happen at Casa Nuevo with Dos Equis.
My parents are divorced... but my favorite times with my Dad are going out to eat alone with him. He's remarried and has 2 step children and another son so we hardly spend time alone together. With my mom I would have to say decorating for Christmas. It's always so much fun!
Yeah Mom's weekend was certainly wild. Nothing like a town full of crazy mom's getting hammered with college students. I had to kick a few of them out of the restaurant at the hotel for getting a little too crazy. I dug Casa. I pretty much drank there and at Tony's. Those were my favorite places.
The moms tore it up far more than the dads did, especially the divorced ones. I can remember some moms throwing up in their son's dorm room during my freshman year. Casa is a good place, I love their food too...I guess they just added on a large band room.
yes the mom's definitely tore it up more than the dad's. I can remember getting hit on by quite a few divorcees that weekend.
