Shon was born sometime after the Second World War and was a product of the beginning of the beat generation. Born of a mother and father that were totally brain-dead as a result of the alcohol consumption of the day. The Mother continuously drank Gin during pregnancy, which resulted in what; Shon believes is the melted brain syndrome, which has caused a majority of the bipolar disorders in this country. This is scientific fact gleaned from autopsies. Until the age of 14 life was very chaotic because of moving between Chicago, Indiana, Arkansas and Los Angeles several times trying to find whatever. Very poor, he basically went where his guardian went. This wasn’t a bad existence, just poor. Shon has always thought of himself as a product of the Social Services in the United States and it isn’t pretty, what with the intrusions of Social Workers always running his life. Shon’s main guardian his Grandmother, broke her hip and because of the poor medical attention in the small town of Leslie, Arkansas was fated to use a walker for the remainder of her life. So Shon helped Granny and they took care of each other. But the Social Services in their wisdom decreed that we couldn’t do that and moved Shon to many different foster homes, where he encountered numerous occasions of abuse. So at the age of 14 after being beat up at the hands of a Puerto Rican gang in Chicago, Shon took some money from Granny and left town. He had enough to take a bus as far as Albuquerque New Mexico and tried to hitchhike to Los Angeles where he knew his Mother was. So after getting picked up by a gay gentleman and having to beat him over the head with one of his Flagg Bros. Beatle boots he acquired 20 bucks and was at the bus station eating pie when he was arrested for being a runaway. (Never ask the station attendant how far 20 bucks will get you if you are under age). So he told the police that he had run away from Los Angeles and was put in juvie where they contacted his Mother who in her normal drunken state proceeded to freak out and so the great state of New Mexico put me on a bus at the same bus station they arrested me at and sent me all the way to Los Angeles. So that worked for me as I was allowed to keep the 20 bucks that the gay gentleman had provided me with. This was only the beginning of this story, but I will try to make it short. After doing some time in Lost Angels I ran into some folks from Texas and went to San Francisco where it was really starting to happen. This is where I met Maylock. Looking for a place to crash Maylock offered me the closet at a house where he had a thing with some chick. Anyway the years passed and most of us settle down. So Shon went to school in the late Seventies and the early Eighties and learned about Computers after spending years trying to make various Rock Bands happen. So through the 80’s and 90’s Shon programmed Computers, Satellites and other various controllers. Shon became known as the Computer Wizard who could diagnose and repair almost any PC problem. Also Shon was the head of the team that wrote the Phone card software that eventually took over in the interim between landlines and Cell Phones. He then went on to program Satellites and work at a server farm in Northern California. During this time he became the father of two wonderful children and continues to help raise them. Forced to retire in 1997 because of the onset of Spinal Stenosis. Shon turned back to his first love, which was always music. By this time technology had almost caught up with what Shon heard in his head. So he contributed a lot of music to the now failed MP3.com and got some mention in the San Francisco Chronicle as one of their choice cuts with his song Raisin’ Cain. So not a lot happened after this until 2003 because of his health. (Spinal Stenosis is a progressive disease) Shon decided one day while sitting at the computer he would look for his old friend Maylock since he had not seen him for almost 30 years. So he entered Maylock’s name into Google and found 4 hits. The 1st one was old and the email address was no longer valid, so Shon tried another one and lo and behold Maylock contacted him back.
