  1. Anyone else who glows in the dark and dreads living in a red state?

Depends on what YOU like. There are Clubs down around UNLV, Coffee Shops where they get up and recite poetry or play music...
    What do YOU like?

If you are in Reno, then you are sorta close to Pyramid Lake....it's on an indian reservation Paiute Indians. This has to be one of the most magical places Iv'e ever been!Theres just something special about that place.I do not live in Nevada,I live in california, but if I did I would have to live near there. We went there a few summers ago,and had a really awesome experience...while walking in ankle deep water, towards "the needles",and discovered some bones, and a skull! It sort of freaked me out at the time,I was afraid it may belong to someones missing child.Anyway,we called the rangers and they came out and taped off the area. They took the bones and later we found out it was 200 years old,and was an indian woman. They knew this because there was an obsidion arrowhead lodged in the skull.I was still glad that we called the rangers,my friend wanted to take it...I said no way, that would be really bad karma! Not to mention the heavy fine for removing something from an indian reservation! After we got home, the Chief called and invited us to a re-burial.We could not attend as our vacation was over.SADDD!Anyway it is a really cool place, and we went 4-wheeling on a dry riverbed and that was a blast.Nevada can be fun,I envy you!

If you like Lakes. Wolves. Eagles or Trees, THIS place has got 'em! Within reach of the City!

  8. yeah, last summer I was doing roofing up at tahoe, it's nice up there but not entirely my cup of tea, in twenty years all that's left of the wilderness up there will probably be gone :(
