The same people doing this study are the ones that think pills can fix any problem you have. With all the drugs I've seen people do, prescription drugs, like the ones for schizophrenia, fuck a person up like nothing I've ever seen. These people are like walking zombies. Infact, I'm dealing with a person at this very moment who has totally flipped his lid. As we speak the guy is in a mental institution for schizophrenia as well as other diseases. When he flipped out the only thing that helped him was smoking a joint.


I just have a hard time believing that they can blame marijuana for a disease that they barely know about. They don't really know what causes it. They believe its inherited, but they really aren't sure. I also have a hard time coming to grips with the fact that the people that prescribe these drugs are even allowed to do studies on anything!


I'm just not going to go along with this study. I don't believe it for a second. These people already have existing problems before smoking pot. Like any drug, pot will bring those problems to the surface.

karma you missed the point. see it doesnt matter if marijuana really caused their illness. the fact is that they HAD schizophrenia, but they DIDNT have any family history of it.

 

Look, if I went to a doctor right now, I would be diagnosed with schizophrenia. No doubt in my mind. Along with several other things I'm sure. BUT, since I will not be going to a doctor it won't be on any record. If my child is diagnosed with schizophrenia and they look through my records looking for any family history of such a disease, they will find nothing. That doesn't mean it's not in my family, it just means no one was diagnosed. I'm sure there are millions of people that have just a touch of this disease, but are never bothered enough to get diagnosed. If their children end up with full blown schizophrenia and they see no family history they can just blame it on the fact that they smoke marijuana? What about all the people that have this disease that have never smoked? How can we be sure that these people did not have this disease before they ever smoked? I'm betting the farm that they did.

 

no im jsut refuting that you said it was an inherited disease. most people misunderstand this and think theyre invincible if they dont have any known family history. theres no point knowing that something is inherited if theres no way of knowing whether you have inherieted it or not, and so it should be treated as if its not necessarily inherited, for sociological reasons
