Brilliant. Christopher Eccleston..... what a ****! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/4396295.stm
He probably made his mind up before he even started filming .. more than likely a stipulation in his contract..at least we no there will be a second series..I thought he could have stuck it out for a couple of series at least, i agree with your comment .. Stereoyping ? oh that old chestnut..
Yeah, that's exactly the problem with it. I mean, if you wanna watch Grange Hill, then you watch Grange Hill. So why does Doctor Who need to be Grange Hill?
I missed last night's episode because I was fixing a friend's computer. What happened? ps: the computer in question...from what my friend told me, it seemed to have adware and/or spyware and/or viruses on it. So I took a disc with Ad-Aware, Avast Antivirus and Sygate Firewall with me. I installed Ad-Aware and let it run... It found fifteen hundred files.
it was just the aliens that got me last night, so predictable and unimaginative. even the 'last human' that was stretched skin, its like please, give us some credit. and the big head? we've seen it all before, its not really stretching our intelligence or imagination is it?
Ask most kids and they have never heard or seen any of The doctor Who series.. This is VERY imaginative for them .. Try putting something on a saturday night that stretches the the inteligence and imagination and watch it sink with out trace.
This is the root of the problem with the new Doctor Who. Doctor Who was never written for kids. It was written for adults, but attracted a young audience as well. Now it's being written for kids and hoping to attract an adult audience. It's typical of the way society assumes that kids aren't capable of understanding anything intelligent. So let's dumb it down. Let's play if for laughs. Pathetic.
Billie Piper is 'fit'... hey some page 3 girls are not your stereotypcal 'blond hair big boobed'.. maybe i look at page 3 girls too much..
Ratings.. thats what it boils down to imho. Its on the wrong day of the week for anything sophisticated to be present..not that it does not have its moments. It is a real shame that it is just being brought back to rescue saturdays nights for the BBC... Thats a little cynical because i am aware a lot of love has gone into it..Even so, its not what it was by a long shot. This is me agreeing with you by the way Dok'.
come on , she is. 'I would' . she is a good actress and i don't actualy just watch it because of her.. honest.
Yep, we're in agreement. I think this is exactly what it boils down to. In order to improve ratings, they're casting the net as wide as they can and in the process diluting the program down so far that there's very little of value left.
