As much as I love the disco hit, this is not about it.

What do you do to relax? (Note to Birdy the Bird... other than masterbation)
In which situations are you most relaxed? Which locations?
What does Relaxation mean to you in general?

For me, I usually read, smoke or take a walk to relax. I find myself most relaxed when i'm either walking with a cigg at night, in cool weather, or when I'm infront of the beach, on a sunny day, in a hammock with a book. Relaxation in general to me means letting go, or completely eliminating my worries... which is why I tend to feel extremely relaxed after acomplishing an important task...

I like to inflict pain upon myself, then my real worries seem so silly..
j/k...to relax I like to be out in nature, hiking or going on a long bike ride perhaps. Reading too or taking a bath. Certain music can be soothing too. I wish I could relax more often.

i go for walks when i'm really upset because it feels most peaceful or i go sit in my friend's lawn (with him of course). if i can't do those, i watch a marilyn monroe movie. they make me feel better somehow. i guess that's not exactly when i'm most relaxed, but when i'm trying to get relaxed. but it's the most relaxing activities for me.

When I want to relax, I just lie down on my bed and listen to some music. Beatles, Dylan, Tori, 5678s... Whatever puts me in a tranquil mood at the time. :)

When I really need to go relax I always go to Redwood Park and lay in the grass and look at the trees. And damn, that sounds so hippyish :p

I love that park. If it's the one by the campus I have a fond memory of hanging out with a bunch of hippies in the giant tree stump by the parking lot smoking cannabis and listening to the dude next to me play his djembe.

Wow Herbuh, I didn't know that you were familiar with Arcata! And yes, that is exactly the park I was talking about. It is so pretty there.

i go for walks a lot. i'm a fanatical believer in the magical healing power of exercise.

when i can, i drum. i have a big ugly darbouka, which is a turkish drum with a metal, bell-shaped body. i want a little ceramic doumbek. that's another turkish drum. my darbouka is too big and bass. plus i can't keep the drumhead tight enough. it sounds too "boom-boom-boom"; i much prefer the higher "pop-pop" sound of the little doumbek. i've been going to these monthly workshops, and actually trying to learn some real rhythms. right now, i don't know what the fuck i'm doing, but the drumming just feels so wonderful!

Relaxation is hard to find where i live

i relax most best when im just downloading some new music and listenin to all the new tunes i got, or just laying down in bed with the fan on daydreaming.
Sometimes walks are good to calm me down, but i like to have music everywhere i go, so ill play my harmonica and all the crap flies out with the tune

Its hard to do any of that though

I usually find myself most relaxed when I come home from work and sit down on the couch or my bed. Also, I find showers to be very relaxing, while at the same time- refreshing.

    1. I take deep slow breaths, take a hot shower, hot showers mellow me out a lot, I watch TV or listen to rock music on low volume, I write, I watch a movie something funny, I get cozy with my cat Sonny, I shut the lights off in my room and listen to music in the dark. That works the most.

I don't smoke. I think it's disgusting. No offense to anyone else.

    2. Whene everyone in my house has left, or if my noisy nephew isn't here. My room is where I go. My room is small but it's my fortress of solitude. It's my sanctuary where I go to hide from everyone. I close my door, block it with a chair to keep intruders out and just hide away.

    3. Just chilling; calming your nerves in a positive healthy manner. Stress is healthy but too much will burn you out.
