Do you think that keeping your cd's in a multiple cd holder (instead of the origional jewel case) will stratch them up? Or is it totally in how you handle them? I've just bought a bunch of new cd's and I'm trying to take care of these unlike all my other cd's that I let get stractched to hell.

you should get itunes (or any other program that does this) and upload them onto your computor so if they do get scratched you can make a copy.

I keep mine in their jewel cases, but I think it's all in how you handle them. Mine are scratch-free, but I try to keep them that way. Most people just don't care about the condition of their CD's, or so it seems.

I keep mine in the cases and it really annoys me if I lend a cd to someone and they don't put them back in the case when they are finished with them. I love my cds to much. I don't want them scratched :(

I keep mine in the multi-CD holders and they do fine. I just bought one of those scratch fixer's though and I highly recommend them. One of my CD's would not play AT ALL (not my fault I lent it to someone, I take really good care of my CD's) but after using it it played very well. It did still skip some but this was one messed up CD, it has a huge scratch that went around the CD more than twenty times!!! Now, I've used the fixer on it several times and it gets better everytime, so I imagine that it would make something with just minor scratches brand new.

I've got one of those cd books.... you have to make sure that there's a really soft whatever-its-called in there, where the shiny part of the cd will be on... I've got a bunch in mine, and they're all fine, and I've got lots more in the cases.... the only times that they get scratched is if I forget to check to see if theres doghair or something on the cd, and play it like that.... just gotta be careful and observant.
