it depends on your income you can get it at any planned parenthood look plannedparenthood online look for the closest one to you give them a call, they most likely wont charge you any more the 20 bucks

the cost really depends.... it can be anywhere from free to $150.

if you go to planned parenthood, they might give it to you for free, or at least cheap (assuming they have it in stock). if nothing else, they'll probably write you a free prescription.

do you have insurance? and are you able to use it? (since if you do use it, they'll send your parents the statement, and you might not want them to see that).

planned parenthood has a sliding scale, if you are unemployed (you might have to prove that, but maybe not if you're only 15) they might have some pills on hand to give you for free. if you get the pills from the pharmacy, they'll probably be anywhere from $5 to $30 with insurance, is my guess. im not sure what it would cost without insurance. going to a private doctor/gyno will cost a lot more! it can be up to $150, depending on the doctor and your coverage and whatnot. is there a local college/university? if you cant get seen at planned parenthood, you might be able to get a prescription from a doc at a local university clinic.

good luck! i'd try planned parenthood first, as they'll probably be the least expensive... i hope everything works out, the morning after pill is usually real effective.

Remember, this is a pill that gives you an abortion, so you will be in a lot of pain and you be expelling the fetus and blood. It will hurt; supposedly it hurts worse than the surgical abortions.

It isn't hurting the baby, it will physically hurt you...you will be in pain.

It's not a fetus at all, it's a cluster of cells, and not a big one at that if this happened today or yesterday. What the morning after pill does basically is start your period. It can be a hard/painful thing, but it's basically just a real bad period, and that's still better than a baby.

But lawngirl was right, try Planned Parenthood, they're most likely to help you. Do you have transport to one? Look it up online and find the closest one - or if you really have no way of getting to one try a pharmacy. It will be more money, but not as much money as it takes to take care of a kid.

Best of luck to you hun, I hope things work out alright.

Yeah, it's gonna hurt a lot, more than likely. But like I said, it's more like a super bad period. But it's better than a kid. Having protected sex could easily solve it too. Not trying to sound motherly like or anything, but I've seen 3 close friends go through this and it's scary and not fun.... But everyone reacts to the MAP differently so you'll have to wait and see.

Sorry to sound harsh dear, I just don't like to see people go through this for something that could have probably been prevented.:(

*hugs* If you need someone to talk to, PM me.

I don't know what time it is in Alaska (I'm guessing 8 or 9:30) but do as much research as you can tonight, and if hte'res an all night pharmacy, get it tonight and take it. Or, get it early tomorrow morning before school.

if you're taking it pretty much right after sex, there isn't anything to really be expelled. Generally the worst symptoms are nausea and headaches, because it's a very strong dose of hormones, much stronger than you normally get. Planned Parenthood is probably your best shot, like others have said. See if they have cheap/free condoms as well, so you always have some on hand in case, to prevent this from happening again.

the morning after pill IS NOT AN ABORTION PILL.

it PREVENTS you from becoming pregnant, prevents the fetus from forming, if you are already pregnant it WILL NOT WORK. thus, IT IS NOT AN ABORTION PILL.

    that is all.

oh and no, IT WILL NOT HURT. you might get nauseous, as it's a strong dose of basically birth control pills, but you will NOT be in physical pain. it causes you to have a normal period.
