Has anyone read this book? What did you think of it? I just finished it and I absoutly loved it. I loved his sense of humor... kinda dry and sarcastic but not too much. So much of what he talked about was true too.
Oooooh, is this a new book? I haven't read it yet. I also love Bill Bryson's work, he's not quite American, not quite British, he's somewhere inbetween, and has the combined humor of both lands. I've read/own A Short HIstory of Neary Everything, Notes from a Big Country and Notes from a Small Island. I'm slowly collecting the other books as I go along.
i dont know if it's new or not to be honest...actually i think it's old cause he talks about clinton a lot. it was the first i read of him but im gonna be sure to read more. it was great.
I recommend 'Notes from a Big Country', or 'Notes from a Small Island', depending on if you want to read about him taking apart the societies of the U.S.A or Britian, bit by utterly amusing bit. I love this guy. He always cheers me up.
there was one about australia that i was gonna get next but i forget what it's called. in any case... next time i go to borders, imma pick up one or three
