laying in the black of day
staring to breathe again for the first time
awake to sights and sounds vaguely familiar
    i know you.....

    dirt road, mississippi day
    loosen my neck tie
    wing tip shoes
where do i go from here?

    holding your hand
the cliff before us, dirty feet, clothing torn
    my daughter............
i'm sorry but i have to go

    southern comfort
    spinning circles
    here with you now
    but am i?

    leather............skin...
feathered head dress, crown of ages
    burning sage and owl's song
    this i can rememeber

here, now it all comes full circle
    leaving out years of detail
how i wished for so long
    will i recognize next time?

    cleansing sage smoke swirls...revealing
communiction in its pure form of light...
    former latter self as one....
    sweat...learn....teach...
    recall
    share
mississippi mud still on my heels
step into alabama still the sage reveals
communication, self as one, sweat, learn, recall, teach. share
    love

Interesting style....snippets of memories, fragments of a picture....I need to think more about it. Good job though.

in between skin and leather this seems to transcend lifetimes, and then pass into another world entirely... this takes me back to before the morning i was born, it really does...

    beautiful.

(thanks for joining in my (takenbythewind's) swapbox a few months ago, btw. it got back to me in april, you made it fast and fantastic!!)
