Tired, Restless, and Weary I lie awake staring Staring into the night There is not a single light And I am forgotten You dont see me cry You know not where my heart lies There is a smile on your face Im glad to see you are happy Go on living Ill be fine Just leave me behind Just go on prentending Im not here You dont see me And you dont care This is my miserable story This is my last good bye I take my last bow On this stage of love And I will leave you with this, only a kiss Now chosse your path Ride it well This is my final farewell So sleep sweet angel And walk on by And pay no attention to me cry
i really enjoyed your poem. i feel like that a lot. i'd like to share part of the lyrics of one of my favorite songs...it is similar in that it talks about bowing on the stage of life...this is the end of the song, lifts me up everytime despair, can ravage you if you turn your head around to look down the path that's led you here, cause what can you change? you're a vessel now floating down the waterways. you can take your rudder and aim your ship, just don't bother with the things left in your wake. just sail belly up to the clouds, the rocks scraping your back. to breathe in the air will be the only thing that you have and your love will be warm nights with pockets of moonlight spotlighting you as you drift, the actor in this play. and you walk across the stage, take a bow, hear the applause, and as the curtain falls, just know you did it all the best that you knew how and you can hear them cheering now. so let a smile out and show your teeth cause you know you lived it well. saves the day - "this is not an exit"
