It doesn't really surprise me... but other than that, I never really had anything against the guy and he's never done anything to me. That's just how I am. I had a funny feeling about him, just as I always have funny feelings about you or anyone else on here, or even people I've met from here. It's really everywhere and it doesn't phase me, but everyone should get what they deserve and I feel there really isn't anything lower than the people who act on things like that. I'm not going to kick anyone while they're down and I really don't know the guy, but I mean-- it's pretty much known that the ones that get their asses kicked in prison are always child sex offenders or whatever... Shit happens; if you bring it yourself, you must deal with it.
Actually, that article just jogged my memory-- he had hinted and mentioned things that clued me into that, on MSN, and he may have even mentioned the guy he was caught with, before; but it's really none of my business... how did you find that one, Skip?
We got complaints about him. That's how we find out about this shit. Everyone is responsible for what goes on here. If you see it and don't report it, then you are supporting it. It just amazing how everyone absolutely hates pederasts until someone they know and "respect" turns out to be one. Then it's nothin' but excuses. "none of my business" only works when you KNOW nothing. If you know something and then decide "it's none of my business", then you are a silent accomplice, no? We will investigate and deal with such individuals as they are reported. Our policy is to ban those who violate our forum guidelines. For us it IS our business that is affected by the actions of these individuals and we will protect our business and our members by taking the appropriate action. In this case it warranted a ban to prevent further forum guideline violations. I remind all our members here that soliciting a minor or even engaging in sex talk with one, online, is a felony in many states. Keep this in mind when engaging teenagers in conversation here. We don't allow this site to be used for illegal activities, and we DO cooperate with the authorities when our forum guidelines have been violated. Got it people? However in this case there was no such contact with any agency, as the person was banned long ago, before he was investigated by the authorities. In fact I've only be contacted by LEOs (secret service) twice since this site began. I'd say that's a great record of self-monitoring by our mods and the members of this site. Thanks to all of you who help to keep this site safe for minors and legal for all to enjoy!

Well, that's not what I was getting at... I was just saying that I'm really not sure, at this point, of all the details, but if there's anything we can do, just let us know out front. I can't see how any of those be excuses-- merely stating, I'm not in the mood to trash-talk someone who didn't do anything, personally, to me; I couldn't really care less who the person was, though I feel people like that deserve harsher punishments than they're getting now, and I'm speaking on terms as a member and person who doesn't want to get ahead of themselves here. I know being responsible as an administrator is a whole other ballgame and you're at liberty for anything pertaining to things like that, on here. People do need to take that into account (not that these types of people really seem to care), moreso, as people should see in this case... but if I hear or find anything else from other members (some of which who really aren't here anymore) who had contact with him, I'll let you know. I think this place has a strong-willed enough membership/administration that it does deserve credit, when it comes to controlling all of this sort of thing on here... no need for pressure.
By the way, at this point, there's no reason for me to say the 19-year-old was a member of the fora; though I recall he had mentioned the guy to me, a few times, before and that he was in a relationship with him, if it's the same guy I have in mind. Blackie used to e-mail a few folks every now and then and just update on what he was up to, then all of a sudden he stopped. I know of a few people who I might be able to reach who could tell me some more things. I'll get back... Bizarre enough that he was also an officer, himself...
