Aloha I'm going to have fun by keeping a journal of pictures and progress for weight loss this next couple months. I hope you folks don't mind. There's going to be different pictures for a eyecandy sort of thing. I don't care really how funky my body looks as it should improve when I get healthier. Far as my diet is concerned when I'm actually eating right I stay under 1000 calories a day and have a vegetarian diet. I eat alot of carbs, no candy (unless its Easter), salads, and never too big on the dairy thing. I might check into a rastafarian diet. That might be fun. We'll see. Or the other atlernative is weight watchers but I don't know, I'm going to try my own thing first. Far as working out is concerned, I'm using the Precor eliptical machine everyday and burning on cardio 300 calories in about 25-30 minutes. Or I'll walk 5 miles. Is there anything else that will help stimulate a faster metabolism? Plus I have a slow thyroid but this is treated with the right pills so its not too much to worry about. The starting weight is: Here's a front view of my face: Then a shot of my fully bloated stomach today after Easter weekend: My goal is about 130 and as close to a flat chest I'll ever get.
Congratulations on your progress. I posted my own weight loss pictures about a month ago. It is a wonderful feeling.
i think its great what you're doing..but i'm worried about one thing. Eating under 1000 calories is not healthy by any stretch of the imagination. It is recommended that women never eat under 1200 calories a day unless they are under the supervision of a doctor. If you eat under 1000 calories a day your metabolism will slow down because it will think you're starving. You'll be more likely to burn muscle instead of fat. You will lose weight faster in the long run by not starving yourself and you will be healthier for it. There are a lot of bad side effects from eating too little like losing your hair. I dont mean to sound rude or anything, but its really not healthy for your body to consume so few calories, especially since you are putting exercise ontop of that.. here is a link to the harris benedict formula for women..i'd recommend atleast taking a look at it.. http://www.annecollins.com/calories/calorie-needs-women.htm also, green tea supposedly helps up your metabolism..as does drinking cold water(it has to warm it up for your body)... Make sure you're drinking enough water(64 ounces/2 liters) and taking a multivitamin, especially if you continue eating around 1000 calories. goodluck..
this is a really good article about low calorie diets http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/sclark2.htm it has some stuff about low-carb diets, but its main points are on low-calorie diets and the effects on your body. i pretty much have the same concern as Megara has.
I'm 5 foot 8 inches. 68 inches. I will look into those links tomorrow. Its about 1 am here, but just getting myself a reply tonight so I don't sound ignorant. Yes, the calorie diet I'm on is pretty damn low but don't worry. I just ate myself out of the universe with a pound of potato salad, a large icecream, 3 peices of vegetarian pizza, 2 granola bars, 2 cookies, and 3 sodas. Haha! Talk about *barf*. Shitty shitty american food but I was out with the aunt and we had a fuck around day. Guess fast food is the way when it comes down to it. I guess I eat so little because I'm wanting to cleanse my body real bad. I don't get my vitamins or drink too much water either. These habits are going to start up though. On a good note though, I have been drinking more milk!!! And started eating yogurt again! Which is heck of amazing. Meat is so easy not to eat. but I'm getting back on the other stuff. Its very hard mentally for me to be anorexic because I have good mental awareness of stuff like that. Its just I never feel hungry. If I ate when I was hungry I'd be eating like 500 calories a day. :\ I don't know. Its weird. Guess more water. It would be great to get health feedback from you guys! Thanks.
um i hate 2 tell u but u weren't anyway! i dont see why u want 2 lose weight! anyway whateva! goodluck
Hey hon, I don't get where you are coming from in the first part of the sentence passes me. Yeah I'm slow.
sweetie....you really don't need to starve yourself...You look great already....Strive to be healthy...don't strive to be skinnier than what you are... Make a good physical goal, like....being able to run farther without panting...or being more flexible...something like that....but making skinniness a goal is not a good way to keep yourself motivated or keep a very good lifestyle... If you want to cleanse your body, fast for a few days. Keep fruit juices and tons of water on hand, but don't eat anything. But when you are eating, never eat less than 1200 calories a day... But anyway, whatever your goals and motivations, I hope you achieve happiness.
hey i definately agree with working towards being healthier and not thinner. if you change your eating to become healthier, then the weight loss will follow. you basically need to stop eating 'empty calories' which are calories which have no benefits to your body, or very little anyway. i also don't eat anything which contains artificial colourings or preservatives, any white flour or refined foods such as white rice or cane sugar. there are so many alternatives like brown rice, bulgar wheat which you can use in salads, whole wheat flour which means you are getting a lot more fibre into your body, keeping you full up for longer (although i know you said you don't get hungry a lot). increased fibre will also benefit your digestive system (but increase your liquid intake when you increase fibre in your diet) which means food takes less time to pass through your body and therefore toxins and waste products have less chance to be re-absorbed into your bloodstream. its also really really important to increase the amount of fruit and vegetables you eat. stir frys are such a good way to eat vegetables if you keep cooking time to about five mins as the vegetables stay yummy and crunchy and full of goodness! i also eat fruit salads with honey and natural yoghurt for breakfast and puddings. the thing is, your taste buds and body will take about two weeks (this obviously depends on the individual) to readjust but at the moment you are probably addicted to the sugar that you are eating in white bread and all refined foods. when you eat these foods they have almost no nutritional value to your body and so you end up craving more. however, your body does not actually want more shit food, it is crying out for the nutrients it is missing. you just interpret this a a general craving for more food and so you eat more of the same and the cycle goes on. at first eating this way may seem boring but actually after a relatively short while you will look at what you used to eat and it just won't look like food, it will look plastic and unappetising. you will also feel amazing benefits from eating wholefoods and much fruit and veg. you will also not feel guilty about eating as long as you make sure that everything you put into your body will be beneficial to it. eating like this takes less and less effort after time. you take so much pleasure in food and it becomes something which is doing you good and not something to be seen as the 'enemy' which you are battling against. your weight will also regulate itself. and as long as you eat this way for like 80 per cent of the time then you can still go out and eat take aways or sweets the other twenty per cent. although i have found that after a while you just don't want any of the old foods you used to eat. well sorry for going on a bit, its just something that i really believe in!
Ankita i think you are already very beautiful. But if you want to look thinner then go for it, I am trying to lose around 15-20 pounds my self. I want to be a bit thinner and a whole lot healthier
you dont need to loose weight! i'm 6'2 and about 210 pounds (fatass) i've been going to the gym everyday since december and haven't really lost any weight, about 5lbs but now i'm starting to eat healthier so i might start making a picture type weight loss diary and post the pics when i loose about 30lbs
You know, you're a tall girl anyway (and I'm jealous). Please don't obcess about your body. I've had my own issues with self-starvation and it's a dangerous road you don't want to fare. Agreed 100% with Holly.
Yeah the starvation thing does get scary heh. I'm about 145 or so now. Been working out alot and eating alot healthier. More energy and the body is showing it too abit. I'm not going to post pics until a month probably has gone by. No batteries and the camera seems kinda screwy. Lol, oh well. I'm doing great right now. Thanks guys for advice.
