Wow, that was an amazing gig last night in Cambridge. Brilliant set, though I won't spoil it for anyone who's seeing them on this tour, and a couple of new songs which were ace. I can't wait for the album in May. The support band, Three Daft Monkeys, were wickid, by far the best band I've seen supporting the Levellers, I'm going to have to go and by their new album, I can't get that Hubbadillia song out of my head. Got backstage again, and finally got hugs from Simon and Jeremy, which completes my list Thankfully I was in a rather more sobre state of mind this time round. Gill was there too, was good meeting her again, hopefully she'll pop back on the forums at some point. Was chatting to Mark for quite a while, and he remembered me. Eat poo Kat, and all you doubters! He also wore my hat, which makes it sacred now. Oh yeah!
i've seen the dafty monkeys before, at beautiful days infact... they are really good live band. i really enjoyed watching them, dancing to them... aah memorys... i wish i could see 'em live again. fingers crossed they'll be at beautiful days... glad to hear you had such a good time sal!
They won't be at Beatiful Days this year, I asked them. They said there aren't usually the same bands twice in a row. They only played last year because another band cancelled. They'll probably be back in the future though....

The Cambridge gig was excellent, I ended up doing the full tour and they just got better every gig, there was a change to the setlist from the London gig, they added Simon Solo of Angel and What u Know to finish with, it brought the whole house down and you are right 3 daft Monkeys were brilliant and the best support band they have had for ages Dont know if any of you fancy it but the Levellers are playing on 31st March at The Marquee Club in London. I feel ancient now as I saw them at the Cambridge Strawbeey Fair in 1991 and I am going to see them tonight at the Marquee.
Yeah, Levellers are cool I got tickets to go see them at Oxford Brookes Uni next Tuesday and then a week or so after tht I'm off to see Floggingmolly
