hey all, i am just wondering how secure those online baby photo albums are? i know that you can't just go and peek at everyone's albums, but you have to have a link, or password. right??? we are expecting our second blessing in 5 weeks!!!!!! and it seems like an interesting way to keep everyone who is in other cities updated, but then again, there are a bunch of weirdos out there, and i am sure there will be the grandmas who have to send it to 500 of their closest friends etc. i am just very cautious about having my kids pictures plastered all over the internet. my first daughters grandma used to do that behind my back, even after i told her not to, until finally i just had to freak out on her. she would send kaya's pics to a bunch of people i would never know, or people i really didn't want getting ahold of them. am i just being way to overprotective about all of this, or do i have a legit reason to be worried? thanks everyone for your input!--sweetpeace
that is a good question . . . i personaly dont know but thanks for making me wonder about that there are definatly alot of weirdos out there we should all be careful about even little things like that cangrats on your incoming!!!! ohhh i get so exited for babies
I'm not real worried about putting pictures of my child up because he changes daily and almost never looks the same. It would take a lot of work for someone to really get my kid from me if they wanted him. I would assume that most child abductions are quick things and no so premeditated as to go so far as to look for toddlers on the net...If someone was going to get my toddler it would be in a public place and I don't give my address out freely. And even if I did it doesnt mean the address is mine.
ya i was thinking after my worried post there, that it might no be to bad, chideren do change, and unless you dont what some of the "family"to see him im sure it isnt so bad
Dakota has a yahoo group. I post pictures on it regularly. But it is only available to those people that I have approved to access it. Other people can only see the cover page. It does have his picture on the cover page, but you don't have to do that. Yahoo groups are free too. Kathi
