I'm not a feminist, however I find it highly odd that many nonfeminists think ALL feminists are lesbians! That makes the rest of us nonfeminists look extremely stupid.

And how exactly does wearing flannel make you a lesbian? Is it not considered to be ladylike? How odd, since many "ladies" wear flannel while working in their gardens.

What the heck does ONE have to do with the other???? I like Flannel! I believe in Equality! I'm straight! Just like you. In his opinion, I'm a lesbian too! I'm a 43 year old straight male thank you.

    See my point?
You can't take people like him seriously.

its not like like they would listen if you denied it anyway- high school is high school- after that people grow up and realize how stupid and hurtful they were

i know just how you feel. im such a feminist and my sister (who is just the opposite me) calls me a "stupid lesbian treehugger" all the time. isnt she so nice? but just ignore the ass holes who make those comments. at least you have beliefs and dont follow the crowd.

i just started getting harrassed by a guy in my school. he calls me bi girl and tells my guy friends that the only reason i hang out with them is becuase i am convinced they have a "pussy." obviously he is consuming bisexuality with homosexuality. but anyway, i threatened him which is something i shouldn't have done but i also asked him if maybe he is jealous, since he himself can not get a girlfriend he must be jealous at the fact that i can get girls easier than he can...

he hasn't said anything since, but i'll keep you posted incase he has the balls (which i doubt) to say anything to me again. :)

i've gotten called a lesbian before. which is pretty funny to me. i don't wear make up and am a feminist, so i am a lesbian. oh, and i like flannel too.

once, i went out to washington state to see a close friend, who is in fact gay. while i was there she shaved my head (i asked her to). came back and everyone said i was gay. yeah, a haircut determines your sexuality.
    stupid people.

Yeah, like celtgrrl I wear flannel and I don't wear make up, therefore resulting in occasionally getting called "the lesbian my school never had".

i never hardly wear makeup either, which everyone at my school thinks is weird. i just dont have time in morning, it takes to much effort and i really could care less. and all the girls at my school are like "you are never going to get a boyfriend if you dont wear makeup" and frankly i dont want a boyfriend who takes my looks that seriously.

What's wrong with being called a lesbian? People have mistaken me for being a lesbian on a few occasions, perhaps because I go to lesbian bars, or I hold hands with my female friends, or my boyfriend's sister pays my cover when we go out (she carrys cash I only carry a card). I find it quite amusing. Plus I know I don't have to deal with nasty drunkin men hitting on me. :)

Don't take offense to being called a lesbian though. Who cares what other people think. Especially, if they won't take the time to get to know you.
