Okay. To get everybody filled in on this, I need to go back to around say, November of last year. I had started smoking pot in June, but I got immersed in the culture quickly. I met new frineds and other people from my old high school. It was fun during the summer and early fall, but then all of a sudden, things somehow started to shift. I don't know it was that caused this change. It's 12:34am. I get a phone call on my cell, and I need to wake up at 4:00 to go to work, and I went to bed at 9:00, so i was tired. Being irritated and half awake, I talked to one of my newly made friends, and he says, "Hey, can you sell me some weed?" I didn't have very much, and I didn't want to sell it. I told him it was too late, and I have to get up early. He was kind of a bitch about it though... The next morning, I find that my backpack is missing out of my truck. This backpack has all of my paraphenalia and my ganja in it (about a half 8th). I knew I had left in my car and it had been stolen. I of course accused my friend that called me that night. He denies it with flying colors, cussing at me, telling me if I ever accuse him of stealing again that he will kick my ass and shit like that. It sounded like a confession to me, but I wanted to call somebody else. Chris Bodily. (I don't give a fuck about this guy, you will see later) He tells me that him and my friend were hanging out at in-n-out when he called me, and then when they couldnt get weed, they went home. I never exactly found out what had happened to my 4 elite handmade bongs, weed, grinder, and other things in my backpack. Alright, now that I have filled everyone in on what has happened up to the present. I haven't talked to Chris ever since then. I was desperate for some weed, and my friend told me to call him. I did. Here is a representation of the call. Me: "Hey Chris, what's up." Chris:"Nothin, man, who is this?" M:"Its Mike. *********." C:"Oh hey, what's up." M:" Nothin, man, you think you could hook me up with an 8th?" C:"Um..... I really don't think so..- um.... ..... oh um yeah okay I'll give you a call back." He calls me back and I told him I have to run to my friends house to get the money for it, and I will call him when I get it. I meet my friend, and we go to meet him. We meet him, and we talk a little bit about other things and stuff while his buddy comes to meet us. He finally meets us, I give him the money ($50) and he tells me to meet a this one lake area in 20 minutes. He leaves in his car, and his buddy leaves in his. We kill time by getting munchies, and then we go to the spot. Its been 15 minutes since we last talked to Chris, so we just waited at the spot. And waited. When 25 minutes went by, and even before that, we started to be weary there was foul play. We called him 15 times, no answer. We then gave up, and went home. Me and my friend inadvertantly syncronized a system of calling and then redialing it repeatedly. Chris picked up for my friend and said in the background, "Haha, think we should give these idiots their money back?" Click. OKAY! Analysis. Now it is possible that Chris could have taken my backpack too? Hell yeah it is, he could have fucked me again since he knew it would work. Even before calling Chris, I suspected something would go wrong. Boy was I right. There is a series of events that lead up to me thinking that Chris stole my money or was going to sham me. 1. Shaky conversation on the phone, hesitant, like not sure about plans and such, suspicious. 2. He then called his friend and said, "Hold up a bit." because he was WAITING somewhere to come. 3. They left in seperate cars, heading up the hill towards their houses on a highway. Well, this turned out to be a lame night. Hopefully I'll get all the answers soon. My other friend I had talked about (that I thought stole my backpack) actually just got hired where I work, so I will hopefully have the full story. Oh, and by the way, is there anything I can do to get my money back, or hw should I go about this situation?
everyone slips up and makes a dumb judgement call about people they think are their friends. You've seen their true colors, now you should just be the bigger dude and chill with some new cats. I don't know if you are going to get your money back, but the best way to find out is to simply ask instead of playing high school games and setting them up to "confess" about everything with another friend. People don't take too well to that kind of stuff. Making them mad isn't going to get you your money back any quicker, as much as you would probably like to tell them off. Just remember that.
RULE NUMBER ONE- NEVER GIVE THE MONEY UPFRONT UNLESS YOU TRUST THE GUY BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT! if you dont trust him or dont really know him, dont give him shit until you see the drugs. if you follow this policy then there is a 95% chance ur not going to get fucked over, ive been unlucky enough to get in that 5% once though, dude was in a car with me at the window at night, i saw a fat 8th on his lap, car pulls in(im guessin it was his people but he said it wasnt) and he says swap it, so we swap quick n i shove it down my boxers n walk to meet a friend, got it under light and it was wet fucking grass..... money upfront is never a good thing.
I have never given my money to someone I didn't know. But I HAVE been ripped off by people I thought were my friends. That always sucks.
Well... yes it was dumb on my part, but I thought that Chris would get into his friends car and then go and come back, but then he got into his car and his friend stayed in his car, so I was confused, and it was too late. Well I guess there really isn't anything I can do about it besides the next time I see him break his kneecaps, but I don't know if that is going to happen. Well, if I ever get charged for posession and they ask me for a dealer's name, well, I'll gladly voulnteer his name and phone number!
lol... nice. Only thing is, that will just give me personal satisfaction and the situation will escalate, as I think he knows where my house is. I want to, but it seems unwise.
