About how long would you guys say it takes for feet to toughen up, such that you stop getting blisters and sore spots on your soles? I've been barefooting pretty much daily, walking the dog and around the yard and such for about 8 or 9 days, and still have some sore spots. At first it was blisters on my heels, then that sort of healed and now it's sore on the balls of my feet. Can I take this as a sign that my feet are getting tougher, starting at the heels and moving forwards? As I run out of foot, will the sore spots also stop?

Allow yourself another month or so to get your feet tough. Try to find some gravel or rougher, more natural surfaces to walk on. Too much smooth pavement on soft feet can cause soreness and blisters. Also, feet get tougher in the summer when the ground is hot and dry.
