Grrr! I'm in the middle of a project and my bobbin thread is getting all tangled up. I can do a few stitches, then there's a ton of loose threads coming from my bobbin. I've dusted out the bobbin case, switched needles and tension, but it's still happening. I can't find my hand dandy sewing book, so please help!

there might be thread stuck in it..

that was my problem one time...

try rewinding the bobbin again and then make sure theres no lil stringies stuck in there. and try the tension again. try every tension to see if any of them work.

Woo hoo! A bobbin question. Without my handy-dandy book, I can't give you perfect advice, but definitely a loose thread is often the problem. You probably don't have the bobbin in the wrong direction, but that is what usually causes stray threads from hell for me. And then even when I put it in the right direction, if there are stray threads still caught up in the mechanism it'll happen till they've cleared through. Oiling's my only other advice. :)

Try changing your bobbin alltogether. Try using the same thread you are stitching with to wind the bobbin.

Sewing machine problems suck. :( Especially when you are in the middle of a project. :(

i've always found my bobbins get jacked when i use cheap thread. Usually it's worth the extra buck or two for better quality thread.
