Today my friends and I were walking around and checking out all the "hippy" stores in town and my friend asked if they had any salvia btu the lady said she was out. SAlvia is a drug and as far as i know (although I know very little) I'm pretty sure i've been told it can make you trip. If this is legal then why isn't pot?
Shhhhhhh!! Mr. DEA doesn't know about Salvia, and if he hears we're using it to get high he'll shut us down! Seriously though, Salvia will probably become a controlled substance within a few years...
It just has to do with how 'visible' the substance is within society... right now it's still rather on the fringes. People under the effects of salvia don't get caught comitting crimes under it's influence... pot is so widely used that lots of bad people (as well as good people of course) use it and therefore authorities can use it as a scape goat, it's hard to convince people that a small minority of 'sage' smokers are a threat to society. It's not something kids are doing at school, it's not something that people are doing on city streets, people aren't being pulled over and found to be high on salvia... it's just not that type of a drug. Most people prefer to do it somewhere intimate, somewhere private and most people i know probably couldn't walk around their living room under it's peak effects.. let alone go out to cause trouble. Unless something bad happens that can be blamed on the use of salvia, i don't personally see it being made illegal for awhile (at least here in Canada). So if you use/grow salvia (or any drug for that matter) consider yourself a diplomat and try to be a responsible user cause ultimately it is the users that will determine the fate of the substance.
cant u decipher it yourself? k, salvia is legal, but ppl arent going out of their way to produce it and sell it weed on the other hand... bottom line is no one wants/uses salvia enough for it to be outlawed
what exactly is salvia, isnt it that stuff that you have to smoke a ton of to get high..? or is this something differant.
Check it out at Erowid or anywhere on the net... When people say 'Salvia' they are referring to 'salvia divinorum', otherwise known as 'Diviners Sage'. Yes, that's right, it's SAGE. There are actually over 900 species of Salvia including your normal cooking spice sage but 'Salvia Divinorum' is the only (known) psychoactive variety. There are various methods of ingesting, most commonly smoked. You can smoke just the normal leaves or you can 'intensify' it by creating/buying extracts. Most salvia that you can buy will be either 5x, 10x or 20x strength... you only have to smoke half as much 20x to get the same effects as the 10x... etc. The high is very fast acting and typically, you're back to baseline in about 20-30mins feeling (almost) as normal as before you smoked it. NOT A PARTY DRUG.
If you smoke plain salvia you'll probably have to hit the bong repetedly and quickly to feel the effects. With extracts, one hit will do ya (depending on the strength of the extract, I always smoke 10x). Salvia is a unique drug; its effects can't really be compared to those of any other, at least not in my experience. If you smoked enough to have a true salvia trip, you won't realize it until after you've come down, because you'll probably forget you took a drug, or that you even exist. It's an insanely powerful trip, but the actual "trip" part of it lasts about 4 minutes tops, then you'll just have a buzz for around half an hour. http://www.erowid.org/plants/salvia/salvia.shtml <-- probably conatains pretty much everything that is known about salvia.
look at alchohol. people cant really be pissed and do things without people knowing theyre drunk. when your pissed, you cant control yourself, and your mindset becomes rather predictable. with weed, if youve got some cleareyes or visine, then you can pass of being stoned ALL the time. speed and crack and heroin and other bad drugs have such debilitating addictions that its obvious theyre illegal. nicotine on the other hand doesnt really affect your mind much at all, so people can be addicted to something that doesnt really do anything. coffee is similar, its not a good enough stimulant to be abused, and in fact then often ends up badly. people get addicted to it and it can be sold everywhere pretty much. with salvia, what i know about it, your just sitting around for less than an hour, being subjected to many things that a lot of people dont even enjoy. i dont think its addictive, though correct me if im wrong. and as said, it is not very popular at the moment and probably will not get too much more so. in terms of doing stuff, i dont think a person on salvia is meant to be able to do any function http://torrents.novatina.com/Starcraft+BW.torrent
man i know i couldnt do shit when i did salvia....i hit it and held it in, blew it out and jsut keeled over and layed on the ground trippin my ass off for 10 minutes or so a downside to salvia though is you feel spacey for the rest of the day, me and a friend did it about 10am one day and then i had ot bounce about 1130 and next time we chilled we both had spaced out mad times during the day...like at 3pm i was ironing a shirt and just sat there lookin at the design in a daze and almost burnt it.
really? perhaps it was the brand of stuff. i bought mine from shaman online, and i used my bong and it took one hit to get me thoroughly ripped
Everytime someone buys 1/4 or more from me, I give or offer a free gram or two of salvia 10x, and it seems to have made me a pretty popular dealer! (Me and some buddies ordered 3 kilos of regular leaves awhile ago, and did a big extraction up at a buddies cabin) Personaly I use salvia more like a high uper, once your already high, take a hit of salvia, and you'll realy feel fucked up!
anarchistscott, i just want to say your sig is fuckin hilarious man. if you can take a quote from family guy and make it even FUNNIER, then in my book, you are a truly funny person
Whats a good website to buy this from? I was looking at http://www.salviasupply.com/ it looks decent but I would like someone with experience to give me a site.
