hey guys meaning gurls also My mom knows i am thinking of doing dreads and she says i will get kicked out of the house if i decide to do them, and i dont know what to do, should i just where a hat over them non stop, she will probably think something is up tho?? I mean i have my whole life to get dreds so do u think i should just wait until my hair gets longer also, because it is almost shoulder length and wait till i get my own place which will probably be forever!!!!! If i decide to do them and my mom found out how long can i keep them in for until they get really naddy and for me to condition it out??? Thanxs for everyones support star
sounds like its time to let nature take its course. Go natural, that is my advice to those who need to evade parents.
I say do it. Would she seriously kick you out of the house, or is it just an empty threat? Geez, I just don't understand why a parent would do that to a kid for a hair style! My mom wasn't happy with my dreads to begin with either, but she's cool with it now. You're 20 years old...one day, you'll probably have a job where you can't do something cool like this. You're young...this is the time to experiment and do your own thing! That's my advice. Now, I don't know your mom...but if she's halfway decent, she'll get over it and realize...it's JUST hair...lol.
I say just stop combing and conditioning your hair and let them dread up on their own. That way it is a slow process and it will take her longer to realize what is up! Happy Dreading!
