Uk Hip Hop/RnB is takin off!

    I think the person most responsible for setting the template that changed rhythm 'n' blues to r'n'b is Prince... his early stuff was always at the top of the r'n'b charts in the states... stuff like Controversy and Dirty Mind... then he went mega with Purple Rain... but then look at the sound of Parade... really stripped back and basic... just think of Kiss... that is your template for modern r'n'b...

    Going to see Roots Manuva tonight, can't wait, his last show in Aberdeen was amazing. My favourite roots songs would have to be Dreamy Days, Where My Mind Is At, Witness(the fitness) and his brilliant version of Yellow Submarine. I've been blasting a lot of Jurassic5 today,another great act who are more interested in their rhymes rather than their wallets.
