I don't know whether I would call the Wall psychedelic. Floyd's earliest stuff definately is (Syd Barrett kicks acid rock arse, man) but later on their style changed quite a lot. The Wall's still a great album though.

headphones make a huge difference, and I would go with Dark Side of the Moon or the live album, The song remains the same. Both are wild in good headphones.

Are You Experienced by a whisker for me, although I enjoy Sgt Pepper more each time I listen to it.

The Wall is not Psychedelic. Its great to listen to on acid/shrooms but that doesn't make it Psychedelic. I think that I'd choose The Magical Mystery Tour over Are You Experienced though.

its all very well saying the wall aint psychedelic but if you have never done those kinds of drugs then how do you know?

but yeah are you experienced is more psychedelic than pepper.

come to think of it there arnt many 60s albums that are entirely psychedelic.

Dark Side of the Moon with The Wizard of Oz one of the greatest psychedelic combos ever.

Sgt. Pepper really isn't psychedelic when ya think about it. I mean "She's Leaving Home" and "When I'm 64" isn't really psychedelic. Although that album is a mindblower, my vote goes to 'Are You Experienced?'. It's just mindblowing instrumentation. And the lyrics are just as out there as Jimi's guitar playing.

Actually you guys should also include Pink Floyd's "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn". That album's probably as psychedelic as it comes. "Interstellar Overdrive" is probably the greatest acid trip ever caught on tape.

Oh yeah, Tarkus is a great album. The 20-minute title track is a very underrated prog piece.

Durrrr..... How could I forget Dark Side Of The Moon. Although not as heavy as 'Are You Experienced?' or as adventurous as 'Sgt. Pepper'. That's probably the greatest Mindfucker of them all.

I'm a big fan of all those bands and other nearly unknow but strangely i'm not a Jimi Hendrix fan , i like him but in the exeption of his first album "Are you experienced" i don't listen to him very much. I'm more into "Sgt Pepper" than into the 1st Hendrix...
How can we compare those both album!? One is Psychedelic blues hard rock
    and the second Psychedelic Pop...?

But you find a very good thread ...we had to decide between two album which is our best psychedelic album !
i will put a new threat with two others psychedelic album...just right now!
