Check out Knotty Know How under Personal Forums, it's towards the bottom. Lots of advice and support there for dreads.

Stop using wax. Just backcomb and palm roll.

Wax will stay in your dreads for years and years, no matter how hard you try to wash it out. It will attract dirt and dust and eventually go moldy. It inhibits your hair from locking and is just plain EVIL. Use aloe vera for the frizzies, and just let them dread on their own.
